Dhakshina Homestay

The homestay is in a great location. It's away from the road so nice and quiet but also less than a 3 minute walk from the beach. The room had air-conditioning which is always a plus when it's hot out. The hosts were so kind and caring. They offered us delicious food and checked we had everything we needed. I work remotely and their terrace was the perfect work cation spot.

There was no mosquito net on the windows or on the bed so we had to sleep with the windows closed so that we didn't get bitten which was fine but usually we like to have air circulation. Also on the last night there were some very loud drunk men staying in the room next to ours who were up talking outside on the veranda until 2 in the morning and then were very loud from around 8am. This has nothing to do with the hosts but just something to bear in mind is the rooms are close together and there isn't that much insulation in the walls so if you have someone staying next to you who is obnoxious you might want to bring ear plugs.

Dhakshina Homestay is a very nice house near the beach in Cherai. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and we got good homecooked breakfast with different dishes every morning. The whole location is very calm and the hosts are lovely and easy to communicate with.

Cozy place near the beach, the rooms are nice and clean and the owners are really welcoming. Had a great stay overall.

Wonderful hosts inviting you in their family home. Beach is only 2 minutes walk away. You can hear the waves from the room it's really pleasant. Breakfast and diner is delicious, Bindu is a great cook. Room is immaculate. I would totally recommend and come back! Thank you very much for your warm welcome. Laetitia

Location is great, few minutes from the sea. We ate here breakfast and dinner everyday, everything was really nice! Special thanks for coffee in thermos ☺ we are enjoyed of staying here, very nice family!
