Dawn View Home Stay

Gorgeous location overlooking the hills. Very quiet location and private. Staff were great and friendly after waiting for our train which was 5 hours late into Ella. They organised a tuk tuk to pick us up at our dinner spot in town before we arrived. Stayed 2 night but wish we could have stayed more. Only 10-15 minute walk along lane and rail tracks into town. Breakfast wa fabulous and large traditional Sri Lankan Yummo 😀

We had a great time staying at the dawn view. Even though the place is little bit off grit, it has the most spectacular view of Ella! Such a beautiful place! Great and easy communication via what's app - make sure you give your WhatsApp number with the booking. We had our laundry done and had 3 perfekt nights. The breakfast is more than you can ask :) thank you!

The bungalow we stayed was on a cleared hill top facing east with a great mountain view just like it in one of the picture. Thus we were able to enjoy an wonderful sunrise at the dawn time just in front of the door :-). And the owner was also extrem attentive, answered all of my many questions about tips for restaurants, things to do in the region and he also gave a very detailed comprehensive picture guide about all the shortcuts to get around, even the day after our stay, when we spent the night no long at his place. It was a real cozy and pleasant stay.

Not a complain but a fact, the home stay is located deep in the Waterfall Road, so its a bit far to get to from Ella Center especially if one is not able to walk the shortcut along the railway.

The location is amazing as well as the rooms. Comfy big beds. Big bathroom with warm water. Everything was clean. Breakfast was good. The descriptions to ella town and ella rock were really helpful. With the shortcut into town it's an 10-15min walk. The value for the money is really good. Would definitely recommend staying there.

I had an incredible experience at this accommodation. The beauty of the place left me in awe, and the host's friendliness and responsiveness made the stay even more delightful. The room's quality was top-notch with cozy beds. Though we encountered ants, the host swiftly resolved the issue. The breathtaking mountain views from the terrace were unforgettable. Thanks to the host, we easily arranged a motorbike hire for quick access to the main strip, just a short ride down a steep hill. Despite the absence of air conditioning, the provided fan kept the room comfortable. The generous breakfast spread added to the overall satisfaction of our stay in Ella. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a remarkable experience.

The room and bathroom are very clean and comfortable. The communication with the host was amazing. We corresponded over what’s app and he was very helpful and responded very fast. The location of the home stay is great, it’s near the Main Street but a little bit up the hill. The view from the patio is amazing. The breakfast was plenty full and tasty. The host can arrange transport and tours if you ask him.

Lovely homestay about 10 minutes walk from Ella main street, the host was fantastic and helped us with any questions, including the route up to Ella rock. The breakfast on the terrace each morning was delicious and the views were gorgeous.
