Location was really good, just two minutes down the road from Skye Bridge. Bedroom window looked out across the Loch which was very picturesque. Lovely presented room and everything was very clean including the bathroom.

The option of a second pillow would be really nice.

Room was clean and simple. Price quality was average compared to other places we stayed in Scotland.

The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The instructions were clear and the view of the loch nearby was wonderful. We were near cafes, a chip shop and a co-op. A good base for exploring Skye and parts of The Highlands. The bed was comfortable with warm bedding. The accommodation suited our purposes for a reasonable price. The shared bathroom did not appear to be used by anyone else on our visit and it was good that there was an extra WC. The cups and plates and mobile were sealed in clingfilm or polythene which might be useful for those still worried about Covid.

The experience was very impersonal with no opportunity to speak to the owner, whoever looked after the property or even other guests. Even phone calls to ask the owner anything were discouraged. Maybe this was unavoidable and could be worked out before booking, but I do prefer somewhere where you are welcomed by a person and breakfast is available. I also like a warm bathroom. There were two heating appliances but even while set on full they were usually cold. I enquired about this. Apparently they are controlled by a thermostat elsewhere which guests have no access to, and it is set to 20 to 22 degrees. It was OK in the bedroom as extra plug in radiators are available for when the heating is off.

Lovely quiet location with a beautiful view, detailed communication before arrival making check-in a breeze. Everything was clean and well organized, the shower was hot and powerful and fixtures and fittings are modern and in good order.

It is a guesthouse with private rooms still in use by the owners, so it's possible to feel a bit like you're intruding, but they seemed to be away during my stay so it wasn't a problem.
