Sigiriya River Side Resort

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Sigiriya River Side Resort! Der Gastgeber hat sich super um uns gekümmert, uns Empfehlungen gegeben, sich um Transfers für uns gekümmert, eine Safari gebucht und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Der Pool war auch toll - ich würde sagen, der sauberste Pool während unserer 3-monatigen Asien Reise. Man konnte sich auch am Fluss entspannen, der direkt an die Unterkunft angrenzt. Die Zimmer waren okay für den Preis. Es gab eine Klimaanlage und ein Mückennetz. Die Dusche war gut, da der Wasserdruck gut war und auch Warmwasser funktioniert hat! Das Frühstück war auch gut - man konnte zwischen sri-lankischen Frühstück (mit Roti, verschiedenen Curries etc.) und englischen Frühstück (Toast, Obst, Omlette etc.) wählen. Was super war, war auch das Restaurant in der Unterkunft, wo man zwischendurch leckere Speisen und Getränke genießen konnte. Aber auch fußläufig sind einige Restaurants erreichbar. Zu später Stunde wurden wir auch vom Host abgeholt, da es sein kann, dass Elefanten in die Stadt kommen. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt und ein top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit!

Good location, owned by a couple that was very kind, big room

The property was extremely clean and well-maintained. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The food was delicious and served with so much care. Everything about the property was neat, clear, and exactly as promised. We would highly recommend this place to our friends and anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful stay. Food is super se b upper 👍10/10

Rooms were good even thought a little inside. Host were friendly!

The room had everything we needed. We would have loved it if the room had a bit more 'love' in terms of aesthetics, but other than that, the room, the resort, and the staff were 10/10. ​Key highlights: The shower pressure was excellent, the bed had a mosquito net, and the AC worked perfectly. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but it looked very clean and beautiful. The restaurant is right in front of the pool; we had breakfast there every day and it was delicious. We loved the detail of alternating between a regular pancake one day and a chocolate crepe the next,it was a great touch! Everything was served with fresh fruit. We also had dinner there once, and it was delicious! ​They organized our safari with a driver named Thilina, and the service was 10/10. At one point during the safari, I got a big scare, but he stayed calm and handled the situation perfectly (thank you, Thilina!). The place has a lot of potential, but the resort hasn't reached its full potential yet. It’s located in a very peaceful area, and you can tell they are working hard to make it look beautiful.

Very nice and available staff. Location was good and cabines were cute.

Need to improve the cleaning, and fix some damages on the roof. Also it would be nice to have curtains, we had.no privacy in the room.

Close to nature, beautiful, clean, best hospitality, Best breakfast (best coconut pan cakes, best coconut roti, best coconut sombul), very generous and helpful people

Chambre confortable.

Peu de lumière naturelle dans la chambre du rez-de-chaussée. Le petit déjeuner était un peu ordinaire. Pas de possibilité de fermer le chauffe-eau dans la douche.
