Casa los Arcos Oaxaca

Casa Los Arcos is a gem of a guesthouse located down a charming alley next to the aqueduct in the historic center. It’s PERFECT for solo female travelers or those traveling on a budget—it’s safe, quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient. You can walk to and from the Zocalo and lots of restaurants safely in the evening. There’s a fabulous rooftop terrace with a hammock and chairs—you get a nice breeze and the WiFi works as well. There’s also a fully stocked and clean kitchen. It’s also PERFECT for those who want to stay long term and need to work online—great WiFi and very quiet. Azael and Arturo are kind and helpful hosts. I’ve stayed here many times and I always stay here every time I’m in Oaxaca.

I loved everything about this place!

Super clean, lovely area, the host family is so helpful and friendly! Staying here made our time in Oaxaca perfect. The roof terrace was a lovely place to relax after a long warm day.

We liked it all!

Amazingly good value in one of the prettiest areas of oaxaca. A 15 min stroll to the zocola in a very safe but quiet area with lots of nice cafes, restaurants and shops. The host is very friendly and the place feels like a real home. There’s a lovely roof terrace and a nice kitchen where you can make coffee, breakfast or even cook dinner. I shared a bathroom with one other room but it was never busy or crowded. I extended my stay twice and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our time in Oaxaca and it was for sure improved by our stay in Casa los Arcos. Super quiet street with a beautiful decor outside too. Walking distance from the actual center is ok on the way down but if you have mobility issues, consider that the way back is a bit steep - was perfect for us though, as we didn't want to be in the busy loud city center. The Host was incredible and had loads of recommendations for us to explore around the accommodation. He also was able to call a cab for us to the airport at a lower price, compared to others.

The shared bathroom can be busy sometimes, but you have one outside on the rooftop too.

Comfortable room with super clean bathroom and wonderful host. Great location a short walk to the main centro area. Definitely recommend this place!

Owners are very welcoming and relaxed. Property is in great location and has lovely rooftop to relax and chill.

Bed was comfortable and room rate was low.

Shared bath was super small and had a tiny sink. Was more like a hostel than a hotel but okay if that’s what you’re looking for.
