Ekamuthu Homestay

We like our stay here. The hosts were nice when we arrived. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location is also good, close to the beach and restaurants nearby.

Ubytování je na klidném místě, ale v docházkové vzdálenosti máte spoustu kaváren a restaurací. Pláž je také blízko. Majitelé jsou milý. Součástí je i společná venkovní kuchyňka, kde si můžete něco menšího uvařit a využít ledničku.

Rezervovali jsme si menší pokojík, který byl poměrně tmavý a ložní prádlo nebylo příliš pohodlné.

We stayed here for 2 days, and at first it felt like we had booked a place quite far away. But the moment you catch your first glimpse of the stunning blue beach, you truly understand the value of this location—peaceful, untouched, and far from the crowd. The Blue Beach is just a short walk away. From there, you can even take a scenic walk to Hiriketiya Beach, enjoying the coastline along the way. We also had a lovely lunch at a cozy yellow house in between, hosted by the warm and welcoming Induwari, which made the experience even more special.

Good value for money, simple room but good for a couple of nights. Located in a quiet area with lots of wildlife in the surroundings.

The room gets a little hot during the day (theres only a fan). Almost every day we had the power cut off for several hours.

Host is super friendly. The room has a really nice kitchen. It is close to different, less crowdy beaches, which is really nice. Also the garden is super nice and peaceful. I stayed here for almost 2 months and I would stay here again.

Beginning of march is I think the season that the fishermen come back from their trips and start doing karaoke nights in the neighborhood. Accomodation is still good but if you are sensitive to sounds this might not be the best period to stay in this neighborhood.

Great outdoor kitchen. Lovely garden area with lots of homemade art. Nice and quiet area away from the tourist buzz but a nice walk to blue beach or hiriketiya beach. We ran out of gas in the kitchen and our host replaced it in minutes.
