Amazing accommodation with a beautiful view from the front door to Sigiriya rock !! The staff was nice. The value for your money was extremely good and the stay included free breakfast which was really delicious and filling! The room was nice and clean.

Nothing much to dislike other then minor things such as air conditioner only running on high (being loud).

Kashyapa is an interesting one to review. You pick this hotel for the great view of Sigiriya rock. The owner is really friendly and was great to deal with. No problems with the staff, they were attentive when needed. The breakfast one morning was served cold (i believe the food was previously prepared and left out in the air) i let the owner know and the next morning fresh toast was served. The location is excellent with the view, unfortunetly there was construction work happening st the hotel, which definitely took away from the serenity of the stay. Another thing to mention is that Sigiriya is in the jungle, with a few sections kf resturaunts, cafes and stores. There is a lot of wild life around, from elephants in the field, monkeys, birds, lizards, frogs and all kinds of insects. I had to kill about 10 flies when i first entered the room. I let the owner know, who said that due to health regulations that the doors must be left open for the cleaners, which is fair, just be mindful that you room might have insects in it on arrival. I recommended fly screens to the owner. Another thing is the chairs at the restaurant upstairs when moved make a loud noise when people move them to sit on. I would recommend the owner look in to getting some adhesive pads to stick to the bottom of the chair legs/ table legs. Another thing is the air conditioner is quite loud and was leaking water in to the room at one point. I forgot to let the owner know this. Over all the accommodation grew on me, if the above doesnt both you too much, you'll love your stay here.

The most amazing view, absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly and the owner helped us arrange a few tours, both were excellent and cheaper than we'd found elsewhere. Near restaurants, near the lake. It IS good value.

The rooms are quite dated, needs a bit of work done to the walls which are peeling off, the curtains don't really function, especially with glass in the door without a curtain so sleeping beyond 6am is pretty tough, and the kitchen directly above means you can hear every noise from that time with tables being moved etc. Also the breakfast is a bit average, and no water or fresh juice at all which was unusual in our experience.

The view was incredible! The views of the lions rock, espescially at sunset, is amazing! Also, the owner is a verry friendly man. He accidently gave us a false room, because of a misunderstanding during the booking process. However, he quickly resolved the problem snd gave us the right room. Also, he gave us a little present for the inconviniance and told us sbout everyday life in Sri Lanka. The hotel is nesr to all the restaurants.

Nothing was bad, however they are building a new house right next to the hotel, so during the day it can get louder. Its allowed to clim uf to the roof of the nee building, where you have a better view of the sunset/rise.

De kamer was fijn. Badkamer is prima. Het bed is erg lekker. Het uitzicht is echt ongelooflijk en het ontbijt is ook lekker. De host is ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam.
