View, company, cultural experience

This was probably my favourite stay in all of my travels across Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. I had a really special stay, dare I say a spiritual experience on the 8th of the 8th. Communication with Jose Louis and family was great from beginning to end, there were enough activities offered to make the most of the time, with also opportunities for peaceful solo time. Pilan’s cooking is incredible. Highlights were the sunset from the mountain, joining in the community dancing and fire ceremonies in the plaza and just the general chats with the family around the dinner table with the other guests. I felt so welcomed, warm and at ease - this was my home away from home for a night, I wish I could’ve stayed longer. It takes special kind of people to make you feel this was so thank you Jose Louis and Pilan and family for welcoming us to your beautiful home.

Una delle esperienze migliori di sempre. La struttura è bellissima con una vista stupenda sul lago. Pillar cucina benissimo e ci ha fatto dei pasti incredibili. Loro sono tutti gentilissimi, ci siamo sentiti come a casa. José ci ha organizzato anche il tour di due giorni sul lago. La stanza era pulitissima. Il bagno molto grande e c’è l’acqua calda (cosa molto rara qui). In stanza non faceva freddo, se non un po’ la mattina appena svegli. Consiglio davvero a chiunque di soggiornare qui, esperienza da non perdere!

L’unico avviso che mi sento di dare è che l’acqua della doccia scende poco ed è difficilmente regolabile, ma col freddo anche farsi una doccia bollente è piacevole. E considerate che nessuno ha l’acqua calda qui, quindi è sicuramente un plus.

José Luis and Pilar were so friendly and look after their guests so well. Pilar's homemade food is amazing and you eat with other guests in their home. We had two wonderful evenings with much laughter and conversation in the dining room/kitchen where we really felt like part of a family. The island was so quiet and peaceful. If you have time try to stay 2 nights to really explore the island. The views from the top of pachamama and pachatata are incredible.

L'accueil, l'hospitalité, la bonne humeur, les paysages. Pilar et José Luis sont d'une gentillesse incroyable, la cuisine exceptionnelle. Le cadre et le lieu parfait. Nous sommes restés deux jours et c'est l'un des meilleurs homestay que nous avons fait. Encore merci à Pilar et José Luis.

Las cuestas de la isla pero es lo que hay jejeje

La localisation incroyable avec vue sur le lac Titicaca. Les hôtes sont charmants, de très bons conseils sur les randonnées. On se sent rapidement comme en famille. Les repas concoctés à base de produits locaux sont excellents.
