Isa's Home

Isa is a beautiful host who really made me feel like I was at home not just a guest. The view from the balcony is exceptional and her knowledge of sintra is boundless.

Isabel’s home is perfectly located in a beautiful and peaceful area of Sintra. You can easily visit the town and its surroundings from her place on foot, by bus (bus stop is 2 minute walk), by taxi or even by tuk tuk. There are great places nearby to have breakfast/lunch/dinner (my favourites: A Mourisca and Nata Pura) and there’s a mini market with everything you may need (and fresh, delicious fruit!). Bedroom is downstairs while living room, kitchen and a wonderful terrace with a breathtaking view are upstairs. Everything is clean and bright, full of Oriental decorations and with lots of books on Portuguese history and culture. A really cozy place! Isabel was always very kind, helpful and supportive and I had very nice conversations with her. I definitely found a new friend! And her two sweet, lovely dogs are the cherry on the cake! Warmly recommended to anyone, especially to people who want to avoid mass tourism. As for me, I will definitely come back!

Isa is kind, helpful and knowledgeable. She gave tips on restaurants nearby and the route / orientation of places to visit.

Great host, she told us a lot about the area. Very nice and clean accommodation. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful view in the nice residential area. And of course, last but not least, the lovely dogs! Will definitely return if in the area.

This is a unique house, which was created with love. I constantly feel like I'm wrapped in a warm blanket. a lot of small details for everyone's comfort. Isa, thank you for your beautiful home, funny dogs, your kind heart, support and the atmosphere you create around you!

You can sit on the terrace with a beautiful view. The location is great if you want to explore the Moorish castle and the Palacio, both accessible with a hike up the mountain. The trail begins not too far from the place. Isa is really nice and suggested some great places to eat and visit.

You live inside Isa's home on the ground floor; there are two rooms to rent on the ground floor and a bathroom, but if you want to make something in the kitchen or go to the terrace, you have to go up the stairs into her living room, which feels strange. There are two dogs that are somewhat curious and also do there business on the terrace which is not so nice if you just sat down to eat something there...

Great terrace with the most beautiful views over Sintra plus the ocean and the hills. Rooms very comfy, everything clean. The place is a 5minute drive away from all the best sights. There is also a very good tapas bar like a 5minute walk away. If you want to stay away from the crowds but still be a part of the action in Sintra, then this is your place. Host super friendly, cultured and more than helpful.

Isa’s home is charming with so many personal touches. She is a great host and will do anything to make you welcomed helped by two adorable and friendly dogs. Isa is an animal loved, environmentally conscious and has lived in Sintra for more than 30 years

The property is in a nice quiet neighborhood surrounded by the mountains and breath taking view of the moorish castle. It is a little bit far from the center but that also is what makes quiet and relaxing. I very easily used Uber to or tuk tuk to give me rides whenever I needed to reach the historic center. If you are fit and enjoy hiking you can very well walk the distance but not with your luggage. The cost of the ride is minimal
