This place is worth to visit even if it was only for Marcel’s hospitality. We had a very warm welcome, Marcel speaks basic English and we were already informed about that in advance but finally when we arrived he explained everything in detail with his translator application, including local restaurants and castles to visit. Our room was big and had a big balcony. In the room there were 2 art works which were signed “M”, maybe they were done by Marcel too, we loved them! The hotel was very quiet to sleep at night. Free parking just in front of the house was very convenient. We didn’t need a late checkout however nowadays when all the hotels are giving 11 and sometimes even 10am às checkout time, it was great to hear that Chez Marcel, checkout was at noon.

Amazing view and beautiful bedroom. It was snowing which made it even more special. Very comfortable house and good shared kitchen. Comfortable stay, there are shops nearby and you’re not too far from the train station. Even though the host doesn’t speak much English, he makes a super effort to make things clear using google translate. He is lovely and friendly
