Extremely friendly and helpful staff, they treated us very well and offered to bring our luggage to the bus stop. The room and bed were spacious and comfortable. Everything felt very new. Very good value for money.

The homestay is only a short 15-20 min walk away from Monster Village and the Xitou Nature Recreation Area. Upgrading to the balcony is highly recommended, as you get access to lovely views, the mountain air, and more legroom. Check-in was smooth, and the reception provided important advice regarding bus times to Sun-Link Sea or back to Taichung.

The towels were a bit small, but it dries effectively so that isn't really a negative. The location might be a bit far for some people; personally I didn't mind at all, and the price more than made up for the distance. The only inconvenience is the lack of places to eat at after 7pm. This can be remedied by walking to Monster Village and visiting Family Mart, or the izakaya that offers excellent meat skewers with beer.
