Generous food coupons for our four rooms (we received 18 for our 4 rooms, 7 people and had one $60 coupon left over). Reasonably clean. Quiet location. Rooms were spacious and good size, especially the family room that our three teenagers stayed in for two nights. Rooms ending in -01 on 4th and 5th floors have a nice view of the rice fields. Other rooms face buildings or rooftops and mountains. Higher level rooms have a nicer view. There is an elevator to move luggage without climbing stairs. The elevator is also good for older family members. Free parking was good - there are 3-4 spaces plus front patio area where we parked a large van.

There were lizards in two rooms. They liked to run and hide behind the televisions. We only opened the balcony sliding door once in each room to photograph scenery outside. There was no food on premises. Toilets had a sewage smell. While the hostess who greeted us said we could use common tables to chat, she removed batteries from the air conditioning remote before the morning of our second day when there was a heat advisory. It was very uncomfortable to eat in the common area as a family with only a single fan when it was over 85F by 8am. Also, the trash in the common kitchen smelled of fish and was not cleaned out during our two nights there. Most of the furnishings came from IKEA to give you an idea of quality. Very hard to find on Google Maps, had to drop a pin.

Very friendly owner. Big rooms, comfortable materess, nice viws. In front of the guesthouse there are 4 parking lots.

I normally do not write reviews, but this time I will make an exception: The owner has zero interest to provide information or help unless you speak Chinese. I have no problem if someone decided to focus exclusively on local or Chinese speaking customers, but then he/she should stay off this platform. What exactly we did not like: the accommodation is 20 minutes from the train station - the owner would not pick you up (which is totally ok, but on the other hand this is a standard in many smaller towns in Taiwan) and the hotel is tough to be found on google maps; the owner provided 0 information in English, only some links in Chinese; the breakfast is not actually breakfast but vouchers of 60 TWD per person, which you can use in the place 15 minutes from the accommodation; there is no storage room for the backpacks in case you checked out - you can just leave it next to piano in the entrance hall - this was not locked when we came to pick them up, so theoretically if someone came in and took them, nobody would have noticed at all...
