Hout Bay Gem - Elise Way

Nothing, we didn't stay due to owners' rudeness. cleanliness and misguided info. Cats all over the place, even cat food on kitchen counters, with two people in our group were allergic to cats it was impossible to stay there.

When she saw that we weren't impressed with the property, shared bathrooms with strangers when we were a group who would share with each other so questioned if we have rooms to share bathrooms together, she got angry saying that they always clean bathrooms, etc which wasn't the point... She was inhospitable and disingenuous when we questioned a few other things during our orientation, she even asked us to leave when seeing we weren't impressed and offered to pay us our money back. Which she then refused to do saying no refund the following day.

It was clean

The were dogs in the property and I don’t like dogs. Many people in the property including the unfriendly owner / manager who appeared to be a racist. She expected the visitor to be out by 6pm. I’ll way of addressing people

Excellent facilities. Beautiful views with well-kept outdoor facilities. Pool with seating area and beautiful garden. Enough seating facilities indoor and outdoor. Enough towels are available. Very clean. Huge comfortable beds. Clean bathroom facilities with bath and shower. Beautiful views all around. Situated in a beautiful, safe, quiet area. Staff and host were friendly. Allthough the kitchen area is shared, it is fully equipped, and there is enough space for all. Enough space when you are booking for a big family. Barbecue facilities are indoor and outdoor. Safe parking space. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the host for value for your money.

As the name says, this place was a true Gem, we had an amazing stay, everything was perfect and more than what we expected. I would 100% reccomend this place to anyone, thank you for the great hospitality we received. Your place is beautiful, lovely and very clean, all the staff and owner was very helpful. When we visit Cape Town again, your place and area will be first on our list
