158 on Marlin

Mamsukwini and her husband were the best hosts.

The owners were very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make me feel welcome.

The environment is very homely

Good value for money. The location was great.

The place didn't have wifi as advertised. The only explanation was that it comes and goes in that specific room. This I found unacceptable.

I had such a lovely stay in 158 on Marlin. The house is beautiful, clean and very quiet at night & the hosts, Suki & Taki were just SO lovely & accommodating.. there were so many extra little thoughtful touches like chocolate & hot water bottles etc. Super comfy bed and the house is a stones throw from the beautiful Chintsa beach. I've stayed in quite a few places over the years in South Africa and this has definitely been one of my favorites. Especially for a woman travelling alone, you feel very safe here. And best of all they have the sweetest dog! Couldn't recommend it enough and would love to have stayed longer.

Everything was perfect

Breakfast was not part of the package so we didn't have their breakfast. The setup was not very welcoming and the people not very welcoming either so we wouldn't have paid extra for breakfast anyway.

We bought our own meat and were looking forward to prepare our own meals. However, we were told upon arrival that the braai area was for private use and we were not allowed to use it. We also managed to get our own braai equipment and we were again told that we could not make a fire on the property. We prepared our food on the braai facilities by the beach but had to eat there as there was no microwave to warm our food in the room. We were also rushed out before the official check-out time as advertised on Bookings.com and we were threatened that we would have to pay for a full day if we did not depart within the hour.

Breakfast was scrumptious!
