Casa Pintea de Sub Coastă

A fairytale place in the heart of Maramureș! Casa Pintea de sub Coasta in Breb gave me everything I hoped for: peace, comfort, and genuine local hospitality. The hosts were wonderful, the views were stunning, and the traditional atmosphere was truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Rooms were clean, nice quiet property in the village,l. Prepared meal (for purchase) , served family style was delicious!

Be prepared to pay your full bill in cash (RON or Euro). It would be helpful to know, ahead of time, that they have meals available (for additional purchase), so we wouldn’t concern ourselves with bringing extra food with us.

a traditional house with lots of decorations, nice woodwork and "my grandma's house" feel. the hosts very nice and very helpful with everything. Recommend

those with mobility problems will have some trouble on the stairs, but not impossible

For us this is a gem in an enchanted village with great rural Romanian traditions that whilst facing change due to modernisation remain and create an oasis of relaxation and peace. Anna is a warm and welcoming host serving up a breakfast of locally grown and produced items, with the opportunity to have evening meals of local Romanian cuisine. It is a working small holding of charm and welcome washed down by the invitation to share plum brandy! We love it- it was our third visit.

We loved stepping into this multi generational family home. It was clean, had all of the basic necessities, and we loved the tapestries and other colorful touches around the property. We felt very welcomed, also by the neighbors as we walked around the town! If you choose this property, you absolutely must choose to also eat there at least one night! High quality, and literally 0 km! Delicious and abundant!

Everything was perfect , they welcome us as we were an old friend, Casa Pintea is perfect if you want to live the Maramures experience!!! We were very hungry when we got there and even tho it was not lunch time they got us sorted❤️
