Oulu Loft Guesthouse

That was a quick one night stay, and I’ve been really happy that I chose that place. House very nice ( at least on my side), with big lodge , located in quiet green area near river. Was good to take a walk after long journey from Helsinki. And of course the owner Teemu is really friendly and attentive to guests. Thank you for that stay, hopefully I will back for longer stay next time.

The Loft is extraordinary beautiful! The host Teemu is the most kind person you can imagine! He also makes the very best coffee! Highly recommend to stay there! I will def. come again!!! :)

Super friendly and service minded host! The guesthouse is located a few km's from the city centre, but in a beautiful surrounding next to the Oulu river, where the surroundings makes up for the distance, as it provides an insight in "Finnish way of life". Architecturally nothing but magnificent. A stay here is very much recommended, especially if peacefulness in on your mind! 110 point out of 100 possible!

This property is shared with the owner and other people. It is not clearly written in the description of the house, it was extreme disappointment when we came there and there was not very friendly owner waiting. From the very beggining the comunication was zero, he did not get me know when can we come, he just did not write any message in advance. I needed to text him that day and ask. Then he was having some ballet and did not have time to open. We needed to wait for him in the city centre. Then as I said already, you share the property. We were suppose to be living downstairs where is dark, bathroom next to it and sauna. So other people would be coming. There was no door! The place looked like cealing. We did not feel good there as the owner was extremely strange and little but laughing all the time. Not comunicating and looking at us weirdly. It is not even worth the money!!! Day before we stayed in beautiful cottage that was for more people and only 10 euros more. This experience was horrible, we decided to not stay. Then when I wanted to communicate with the owner about the refund (because in the first place in the description is not written that you are sharing with other and have no door), he stoped answering.

Everything as advertized. Easy access and parking. Friendly host. Nice view from the common dining room.

Bed was a bit soft for my liking.

Restful and attractive location in residential area. Host is friendly and fun to talk with.

However, home was very cluttered and floors and surfaces in common areas were very dusty; the floor in the bedroom was dirty. Rugs in bedroom and bathroom had a lot of hair from other guests tangled in the fibers, so some of these items are not being cleaned between guests. Great price and location, and would have been better if cleanliness was a higher priority. The home is not as clean and organized as depicted in listing pictures.
