The room was not very clean. When I arrived there were plastic bottles under the bed and lots of dust

stunning little place, our room was a generous size and the bathroom was good size too. it was very clean and well presented, we felt very comfortable and relaxed here. Nyoman was most helpful, sorting out or bikes and laundry and with extending the place too. she is truly a lovely lady

when checking in it seemed as if there were no staff about. a man was in the kitchen (he did not look as though he worked there but he might’ve, he never said) and he told us to go to a room and just go in, my partner and I was rather confused but proceeded to knock and were about to enter the room when somebody said ‘can I help you?’, the room was occupied by somebody else and we were a little embarrassed. the man then said oh maybe try that one then, we were skeptical so waited for Nyoman, she arrived and checked us into our room though she had to come to the hotel from home, we felt rather bad to have dragged her over just to show us the right room:/ we went to an island and booked in for Semaya again with Nyoman for our return(over a week in advance). she then messaged us a couple days before our check in and said they were fully booked, though this was a shame as we booked far in advance, Nyoman booked us in with a similar hotel down the road- she sorted it all out for us and charged us the same price as Semaya would be (the other place was a little more expensive). so though there was a dilemma, Nyoman sorted it with kindness and we were more than pleased with the outcome and how she dealt with the situation.

For context I was in Unit 8 which is only "special one" (with carved wooden doorway) and I stayed 28 nights. Big room with impressive wood carved doorway. Big swimming pool with few beach chairs. Beautiful location in small village with lots of historic/cultural value. Breakfast is available (5 options). Free drinkable water all day (if does not run out available even in night).

Room was really dark as windows are covered by carved wood. Door was "locked" with piece of wood from inside and padlock from outside, really impractical especially because even closed it was possible to hear everything from outside. Electric outlets in room were in not so convenient spots. Bathroom has wall mounted shower which was spraying water only through part of it's head. Toilet paper was in inconvenient spot near shower so it always end up wet. Toiled paper could not be thrown to toilet, so it had to be thrown to trash bin. Swimming pool was cleaned really irregularly and it was taking in water from big portion of the rooftop - this is really bad (in case you don't know). Kitchen area was not connected by rooftops so going there in rain or after it was painful. House is not properly marked on Google maps so Grab drivers were getting lost delivering food. Area around is not really walkable as there are no sidewalks or pedestrian crossings. Often cultural events leads to lots of noise pollution especially because shrine is quite close to property. Breakfast is delivered from close by restaurant quite inconsistently even though I was always ordering for same time. And few times breakfast did not arrived at all, and few times arrived only after nagging house keeper to handle it. Connection to internet was bad. Especially in last two weeks there were incidents every day when internet would either drop completely or went quite unstable for few minutes few times per day. Even after so many reports to house keeping crew no resolution was seen.

Very nice spacious rooms. Everything is very clean and the staff is very kind. (: We felt very at home!
