Nano Ari Homestay and Art Class

This village is 15 min away from Ubud. Very quiet, calm, and beautiful. You get to see how locals live. It’s lovely.

Our experience at Nano Ari Homestay was delightful. I would like to highlight the amazing service provided by the staff. We had a series of requests throughout our stay, and they were always very efficient and willing to help us. In addition, the room was cozy and the bed was big and comfortable.

Something to take into account, specially if you are a light sleeper, is that the roosters will probably wake you up at 5 am crowing next to the room. The bathroom was tiny so be ready to get everything wet when taking a shower. Anyway, the water pression was good.

It is a cozy homestay nestled in nature. The rice fields and Alas Haram are very nearby. The owner Nano is so helpful and polite. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Wayan and Ani are super friendly and hospitable! They were willing to help anytime, and taught me how to make the Balinese offerings! The area was a bit remote but incredibly relaxing calming my anxious mind. I bought another flight ticket just to stay here longer! The air was sweet in that area.

Well everything is great except the water pressure from the shower head could have been a little bit stronger. And the chicken from the neighbour's house was excited days and nights but it's nothing Wayan and Ani could control. And I wasn't bothered much. Other than these, everything was perfect.

I am in love with this homestay and the amazing family running it. It's one of my favorite places to have stayed, and I've stayed in a lot of places, so this is saying a lot. The place is cute. It's close to rice fields and terraces. It's quiet in a dogs barking and roosters crowing kind of way. It's traditional and small with so much heart involved. The view from my balcony over the village was beautiful. Communication was easy and friendly. I would absolutely love to visit and stay again another time. Also! If you do stay here, don't miss out on the art class of the traditional Keliki style painting which Ari (the host) teaches at a nearby school.

Nano and his wife are so warm and friendly. If you want to learn about Balinese culture, host will gladly tell you all the things you are curious about. They even let me join their offering making, which was so special. The room is kept super clean, cozy, there is some nice Balinese art in the room to enjoy. Bed is very comfy and shower is perfect, which I struggled to find at other properties. No mold ☺️ there is a balcony terrace to enjoy the views of the nature. I loved staying here and would definitely come back.

Everything was perfect for me, but if you are light sleeper, there are alot of dog and animal noises in the morning so be prepared to wake up with roosters 😉
