Finca Chimaca

Peaceful. Escape from crazy Las Americas. Clean. Nice rustic room. Could make myself coffee and breakfast, use fridge. Dining room and terrace with a view. Parking. Great location for exploring NP Teide in south Tenerife.

Lovely clean, modern, comfortable property in a pretty, tranquil location just below Arona, away from the madness of the coast. Sunny outdoor area for siting out. Lovely friendly, helpful and accommodating host living nearby. Ten minutes walk to the bus down to Los Cristianos (bus 480 or 482) (half an hour travel time) or up to Arona (bus 480 or 482) (10 minutes travel time) and Vilaflor (bus 482) (about 45 minutes travel time). Three adequate eateries in Arona (including one restaurant, Roque del Conde). Only two small supermarkets in Arona so shop for food elsewhere. Good walking nearby (Roque del Conde and the GR 131) and more walking at Vilaflor. Note; don't rely on picking the 342 bus up to Teide at Arona - could be full - suggest you go down to terminus to be sure you get on. The location is possibly best suited to people travelling by car in terms of shopping etc but we managed perfectly well using the bus. We highly recommend the property.

Nothing to dislike

Full of character property with amazing views. Sun sets and sun rises are amazing.

Felt sad about the caged bird. On his own and tiny cage.

I wanted to be away from the tourist crowds and to experience a more rural feel without having to drive far to get to beaches and places. Finca Chimaca was perfect for that.

Just left this beautiful place. If you need to get away from the outside world then stay at this peaceful guesthouse and the most beautiful owner I've never met she's the nicest lady who made us FEEL so welcome from start to end. Thank you very much. 10/10

Camas confortables

Lovely setting, beautiful old house - perfect if you want something a bit different. Hostess was charming, and we managed to communicate well despite the language difficulties. Lovely terrace to sit out on for breakfast/ other meals.

The atmosphere was nice and rustic. The establishment was close to the highway. The contact with the host was good. The table in the living room was nice and big.

There was a bird in a tiny age all by itself in the living room. The room was a bit small too move around in easily with a big suitcase that did not fit the closet. The listing also mentioned a bath, but the plug was unavailable and when asked the host said they did not allow baths due to water costs.
