The host and his dog are the sweetest. The beds are very spacious. There is good ventilation. The shower is hot and has good pressure. Overall, a delight!

Helpful staff. Central location.

Was right on the old street, close to the train station and shops. friendly host contacted us through phone ( but didn’t show up the whole time during our two day stay.)

No ac was fine because its cool at 1400meters above sea level. But noises of tourists that wanted to see the sunrise woke us up around 4am. Room didn’t have much space all you could do in the room is stay on the bed

Best location to stay when you're in Fengchihu. Clean and large bed. The owner is very accommodating and helpful

Location. Fenqihu is one of the larger villages in the Alishan area, has enough food facilities and has some lovely walks of cedar and bamboo trails. Easy to walk to bus stop and train station. But the bus and train schedules to other villages/areas are very limited and specific, and need to be very carefully studied and coordinated for the solo traveller; otherwise much time is lost waiting for buses and one can be stranded without transport back. The owner of the property is generally helpful.

The property is actually a shophouse and the shop house floor is an eatery that is clean but smells strongly of kitchen foods and cooking oils. The bedsheets in my room were not clean. The room is not well cleaned in the corners. I did not get a mountain view as stated. The heater is actually a humidifier and the water overflowed.

Very kind and helpful host. The room was cosy with a big bed. Amazing view on the mountains.
