Property was fresh & modern yet an old building & was soo central to the lovely wee town of Ardara ..

2 things - 1)our bed in Room 1 was uncomfortable & smaller than we would have liked! Was it the small double? We didn’t sleep great !! 2) we were disappointed with breakfast as thought it be a cooked Ulster fry as had always been on our b&b trips in Ireland - this was first to be basics & self service !!!

Water adjustment on shower did not work easily, very difficult to move it to an acceptable position and not be scalded. This is not a Bed and Breakfast in the usual meaning. It is a Bed and make your own breakfast from the not so great choices in the fridge and cupboard. Should really be advertised as Bed and BYOB (Bring your own Breakfast). In Ardara it is very well located. right on the central "square." Ardara, however, is a shadow of what it was ten years ago. Shuttered buildings (including the main hotel there) and other disused and sad looking shop fronts.

Let me start with the positive, the parking was good and it was well located. Calling a number to be let in standing in the rain was not what I had expected. We were two couples travelling together and had booked two rooms. When we got someone to talk to they were insistent that we had booked one family room with four adults. Not likely.they sounded confused and it took some insistence that we had booked two rooms. We eventually did meet the host who was pleasant. the breakfast was self service continental. In short it was was disappointing and not worth having. hte ingredients were cheap, there was no decent bread (everywhere in Ireland serves decent decent wheaten bread except this place),you could not use the stove top or the oven, the ham was cheap and nasty, the cheese was pretty tasteless and it was not what you would expect from an Irish BnB. Bed linen was synthetic and I suspect that my bedding had not been changed from the previous occupants. The Wrinkle patterns around the tops of the sheets were the give a way. It was late in the day when I discovered this and too late to make any changes or com[laints. And the bedding smelt of someone else’s perfume. In summary we have stayed in much better places for a lot less cost. We were underwhelmed and it was over priced. I don’t usually write reviews but this place needs calling out.

Ideal location. A beautiful old house. Very well kept. Room and bathroom spotless. Excellent breakfast facilities with fresh fruit and bread and eggs etc. Parking was very good at the property. . Our first time in this type of accommodation and we're really happy with it.

Would have liked a TV in the bedroom.

Bed too small and uncomfortable. No shelves in bathroom or shower for toiletries

Perfect location in centre of town, would stay again
