Gumm Lonely Club

Gumm and Jaeng are wonderful hosts. We were made to feel very much at home, we really enjoyed their company, friendly and very helpful. A very chilled place, a place you want to come back to. If you a missing bread in Thailand Jaeng makes a great sour dough bread. We all really enjoyed our stay. Totally recommend if you are wanting a peaceful place on the river, very close to the beach.

I really had a great time here, mainly thanks to Gumm and his wife. Very friendly easy going people who will make you feel comfortable. They are interesting to talk with and I enjoyed our conversations. The location is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Gumm is very helpful and helped me arrange transport and he booked a snorkeling tour for me. Every morning a nice breakfast with coffee. Thank you! 🙏🏼

This place is a gem. We immediately fell in love with this hotel as we walked into this cozy and warm house on stills in the middle of a mangrove forest. The hosts, Gumm and his wife, are so welcoming and helpful. We had an amazing time. Motorbike for rent is available. Delicious breakfast is included. We felt at home! Would 1000% recommend.

Note that there is no air conditioning in the rooms, but we felt comfortable as it gets cooler at night and with a fan available.

I’m sure I am only echoing other reviews here, however, Gumm and Jan are the friendliest most accommodating hosts that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting; nothing was too much trouble and the food at Gumm Lonley is outstanding. The accommodating is unique and rustic, but instantly felt like a home away from home, this is a credit to both Jan and Gumm and their approach to running their property. I am travelling for a further 11 months and hope to return to Koh Kood at some point, if and when I do, I will make a point of popping in to say hello. Thank you for an amazing time both!

Everything! Gumm and Jan (no clue how to spell her name) are just wonderful people who make you feel right at home. The coffee and also the food are very good. We've been traveling together for 10 years and this was the first time we didn't lock our room. The nearest beach is about 1 minute away, but you can also use one of their kayaks (for free!) to get to "Neverland-Beach", which is also accessible by bike. Really enjoyed my stay at Gumm Lonely Club. Gumm & Jeng are lovely hosts, always really friendly & helpful - and Gumm took the time to teach me how to ride a scooter! It's a great base for exploring the island: you can kayak around the mangroves nearby, down to the beach or (if you're feeling adventurous) around to the next beach, and you can use a scooter to explore other parts of the island. The accomodation has a lovely relaxed/homey vibe too
