TA YAI HOMESTAY (ตา ยาย โฮมสเตย์)

The owners of the homestay were so welcoming and friendly, the location is amazing as an incredible beach (Khlong Chao) is 5 min walk away, plus the homestay is located on a beautiful river with mangroves. They offer kayaks for free, so you can paddle down the river 5 minutes to get to the beach and a bit further for snorkelling spots. The location and cleanliness was well worth it for the price!

No water refill station (but they offer free bottled water and recycling)

A wonderful, peaceful place. One can really enjoy the silence and authentic Koh Kut here. The owner was extremely kind, welcoming and responsive to every need we had. Very clean and the room had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Close to a beautiful large beach, just 5 minutes away.

It would be nice if the room had a hanger in the bathroom for towels.

Great location, close to restaurants and one of the most beautiful beaches on the island yet quiet at night. Porch and common area is very peaceful and inviting.

Amazing Homestay with lovely hosts. The location was very beautiful between the mangroves and I liked the wooden building style. If you book the day before, you also get a fancy and large breakfast!

Tayai Homestay is a very cute little hostel with different housing options. We stayed in a room within a larger house, where three rooms were right next to each other (Room with Kingsize Bed and Balcony). The room itself was great - simple but had everything we needed, with a very quiet AC. Beyond that, the whole area is beautiful, with a lovely shared terrace and plenty of nice spots to sit and relax. One of the highlights was being able to use the kayaks for free, which made for an amazing experience. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful - whether it was organizing laundry, renting a scooter, or giving useful local tips, she was available all the time and made everything easy and convenient. It’s not far to the next beach and a few good restaurants or small shops. Overall, a great place to stay, especially for the price and location.

The room wasn’t the brightest space, but for the price, it was absolutely fine. The only downside was that the walls were quite thin, so we could hear the neighbors (talking, showering or snoring) quite a bit. Nevertheless, the whole area was very calm and peaceful.

room as described, you have everything you need for a comfortable stay, close to a very nice beach, walkable if you stay in the sector, moped rental available. yes would recommend.

Very nice homey place with a smiling friendly host. The wooden deck area and hammocks were dreamy for relaxing and reading a book with a view of the mangroves. The room was comfortable (even if not fancy). The free kayaks are great and they also helped us with laundry and bike rental. The location is perfect close to restaurants and a gorgeous beach.

This home stay exceeded all my expectations. The area is really clean and well maintained. There’s a huge patio by the river in the mangroves with a lot of hammocks, seating areas etc. breakfast was superb with many options which partly changed every morning. The owner is really wonderful and happy person. Location is near the beach and if you don’t want to walk there, you can always take one of the many free canoes that the accommodation provides to its guests. You can also canoe on the river deeper into the mangroves if you want. They also rent scooters here. I read others review’s about hard beds, but I stayed in one of the rooms by water and at least that bed was really comfortable and cotton sheets really soft and’s pillows good. Definitely will come here again :)
