The host offered us the suites once we arrived which was $7 more. We ended up taking it as the original rooms we had booked (the bunkbeds) did not have a bathroom included. The suites had very comfortable beds and looked as if they were newly redone. This location is also very peaceful. There is a nice balcony on the top floor which is great for enjoying the mornings. This location is also across from a police station which made it feel safer.

The bathroom is a wet bathroom where the shower is not separate from the sink and toilet. As a result, the whole room gets wet when you shower. The floor was dirty, there was hair in the drain, and there was mold along the edges. It felt very grimy and unpleasant to use. Also the hairdryer was right next to the shower head which felt like a safety hazard. Also, the location is down a hill from the main part of the town so be prepared to walk uphill every time you want to go see the busier parts of town.

The best was comfortable and there were 2 duvets given on 1 double bed. The double room is nicer than the other rooms, and the location is convenient for the bus route. There are restaurants open in the evening nearby. As a whole, a decent budget option.

The owner “upgraded” us but didn’t tell us before we arrived. He put us in a newer furnished room, but the thing is, the bathroom was dirty. There was hair still in the shower drain, the ground was soaking wet before we used the wet room and the floor felt (and looked) dirty if barefoot. In addition, no one was there when we checked in. The walls were extremely thin - you could hear everything and anything from the other rooms. Photos have been provided in the review - if they look a little odd it is because I have edited out myself and my friend.

The owner’s treatment was amazingly horrible. I was waiting for a refund more than one week. Finally and in order to get it, I went to the location, in the middle of the mountains. Wasn’t easy to get this refund because he was trying to avoid it. Once I was there, this rude man started to scream at me because, based on his perspective, i didn’t appreciate the cancellation. This story doesn’t make sense as my messages in our chat being really kind and thanking him are there. But this is not all, when I was going to my car, he followed me still screaming and literally he told me: go to your country. He told it to me several times. I don’t know which type of owner is this but of course I don’t want to be where I’m not welcome. This man was trying to scam me with the refund he offered and was surprised that I went directly to the hostel. Take care if you are going there, the staff is not nice.

Nice situation, we had a « premium » room (payed some extra money for that). We didn’t hesitate as we were staying 6 days.

People must know that the standard room offered on booking has no window and is in the older part of the house. It is likely that you will be offered “on the spot” an upgrade to a bigger room + window + private bathroom (=+200).
