Moc Chau Town - Homestay

Lovely little place. Booked a dorm bed, had all to myself. Great place to chill.

I stayed in a private room which was spacious and all in all nice. The owner was kind and really went the extra mile trying to help me booking complicated transfers I needed even though she didnt speak english. She even brought a friend to translate for me, and I really appericiated the effort. We took one day the owner's husband to be our driver to all the main attractions which was a little pricey but great way to see Moc Chau highlights.

As the owner don't speak english at all I think it migbt be complicated for western tourists to stay here. Luckily my travel partner spoke viatnamese, otherwise I'm not sure how I would handle. The place itself doesn't have common areas to meet other travelers. To be honest there was kind of a spooky vibe to it, and I think that if I came alone I might have felt uncomfortable. Notice that the homestay's location is quite far from the town and from the next village. On one hand it was quiet, on the other hand you have to walk a while to find a place to eat as there are no meals in the homestay or any restaurants nearby.

Very clean accomodation. Nice and kind owners. They arranged a rent of automatic scooter in nearby rental. Translator is necessary.

Some breakfast/dinner possibility would be good to have. But we didn't ask them. Really hard bed.

- Traditionnal house very nice , with hospitable terrace to enjoy a tea or play cards - Little but nice and comfy room with aircon and tv - Location : a bit outcentred but reachable by feet ( 20min ) or scooter, then pretty calm aera - The kindness of the hostess, who made her best to make us feel at home, helped booking scooters, return bus ...

- Beds are a little bit short when you are tall because it's traditionnal furnitures, but it's confortable !

Helpful stuff, no problem in extending reservation, motorbikes can be rented from the owners
