Hiraya Homestay Coron

Very hygienic homestay, one of the best we’ve had recently (and we’ve seen many). Also great hostesses.

The aircondition made a very deep humming sound, but when sleeping with earplugs we didnt have any nuisance of it

It was quiet, yet in a great location. Bed was comfy and air con was great and realistically as a pair of fragile Brits this is honestly the most important thing for us. Staff were friendly and super handy in organising and recommending things to do. They also offer free toast and homemade peanut butter.

There are only two toilets/showers and air con maybe considers loud to some.

The air conditioning in the room is great. The kitchen is pleasant and clean. The location is close enough to the town to walk but far away enough to be quiet.

Worm-like bugs in the bathroom. A lot of mosquitos in the bathroom, making it tricky to use. Low bathroom to guest ratio, so the bathrooms were often occupied when I needed to use it. Also, it was a bit odd being hounded to pay cash up front for the entire 3-day stay upon arrival. This wasn’t the welcoming I was expecting after arriving on land from a 3-day boat expedition. So I needed to go to the atm faster than I had planned. Not the end of the world, but you should show up with cash in hand.

Fantastic place to stay. We were really pleased with the facilities, although the room and bathrooms were on the smaller side it was clean. You could also use the kitchen area if needed. The complimentary coffee and toast were a great bonus. The beds were comfortable, and staff were helpful with booking tours and ferries.

Very CLEAN for Phillipines, very quiet also and very good location.

A minus would be the noise AC from the next room.

Great for a quick stay in Coron. The location was great, walkable to resto / bars. The staff were very friendly and being able to grab a piece of toast in the morning was good too!

Sometimes the toilets can get busy in the morning so plan for this!

Hosts were so friendly and helpful with everything. The location is good. Very close to all activities, yet somewhat quiet. You can also book tours through the host; they will help with absolutely everything. We are so happy to being able to stay at their place. Everything is clean and the stuff is working day and night to make everyone feeling comfortable. They clean after every shower and made us feel really comfortable. Also they helped us so much because we were sick. Really so blessed to be there! Thank you!

Hiraya is excellent! Very clean, very tidy, great location, I would definitely recommend it ! The staff is extremely nice!
