High View Homestay

High View Homestay is an amazing place to stay if you’re looking for peace and stunning views! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the terrace overlooking the mountains was a highlight of our stay. The breakfast was not only delicious but also generous – a perfect start to the day.

The view is stunning! And the hosts are super friendly, hospitable and helpful

Очень очень приветливые и дружелюбные хозяева отеля. Неплохой завтрак. Шикарный вид из всех окон отеля. Великолепная, хотя и требующая обновления, общая веранда с роскошным видом. Чисто.

Немного разочаровало не соответствие фоток и реальности. Мебель сильно уставшая, ремонт не свежий от слова совсем.

Einige Einrichtungsgegenstaende sind schon etwas abgenutzt, z.B. die Handtücher sind schon sehr duenn. Wer mit dem eigenen Fahrzeug anreist sollte unbedingt die Anfahrtsbeschreibung des Vermieters benutzen die Strecke die Google vorschlägt ist extreme steil wir haben es mit unserem Tuktuk nur im ersten Gang geschafft zum Glueck hatten wir keinen Gegenverkehr

The room with a balcony with a very nice view over the city (sunsets are amazing) There is a fridge and even a kitchen at your disposal in the common spaces The breakfast changed everyday and was nicely prepared The room had a kettle to make your own tea The owners were very friendly and helpful (booked us a tuktuk to follow our own plan, provided laundry services)

Wifi does not work very well unfortunately. I used 4G almost all the time. The pressure for hot water is very low but it's a not uncommon in Sri Lanka in general Only 1 plug in the room, not very convenient but it's manageable

La vista es impresionante y la casa está en una zona muy tranquila de Kandy. La familia es muy amable y está muy pendiente de tus necesidades y dispuestos a ayudar. Las habitaciones están separadas de la casa familiar por lo que tienes total privacidad. Son 4 habitaciones en total distribuidas en 2 plantas. El desayuno fue siempre muy completo (frutas, huevos, y algún plato local) servido con mucha atención. La habitación estaba muy limpia, la cama era muy cómoda y el baño estaba nuevo y era moderno. La estación de tren queda cerca de la casa y también los jardines botánicos. Íbamos a quedarnos una noche y acabamos quedándonos4 :)

No es que no nos gustara porque íbamos buscando precisamente eso, pero hay que tener en cuenta que la casa está en lo alto de una una colina de Kandy y se necesita tuktuk para ir a la ciudad. Kandy nos pareció demasiado ruidosa, así que estuvimos encantados de quedarnos en esa zona. Además hicimos buenos paseos por la naturaleza sin necesidad de bajar hasta Kandy.

The view is insane; when I say that, I don’t think I have come across views like these. I am a person who really is less interested in such things but these views captivate. Most remarkable are the Hosts; they go way way up and beyond. This ethic of care is humbling.

There was nothing I did not like. If there were some things needing attention it might be the pressure of the shower. If it is a concern ask for a room downstairs. Also, make sure you bring the rich adapter however the hosts can provide. The property is a 15-20 minute tok tok ride from the train station; however the ride is interesting allowing you to soak up the sights and lush surroundings
