Deep in beautiful countryside. I went by car, but actually realised would be surprisingly accessible by public transport as a small JR station is very close by. Miwa-san was a truly lovely lady – exceptionally kind, and also interested in overseas culture. Much of the delicious food was home produced – homegrown rice from the paddy field in front of the house, home-made jams and bread, and home dried persimmons.

Traditional Japanese style. Love it! A great stay here, and dinner and breakfast prepared by Mrs Miwa are excellent!

Mrs Miwa was a lovely host. The dinner and breakfast she made were both excellent. Beautiful house and garden. Definitely worth staying here if you're exploring around Niimi.
