Sapa's Soul

Es war ein Traum! Die Familie ist so herzlich und hilft einem bei allen Fragen und Problemen weiter. Für uns wurde ein Shuttle von und nach Sapa organisiert (Grab ist auch ganz easy möglich), dh. man kommt auch spät Abends noch gut dort hin. Wir waren dort zwei Tage wandern (ohne Guide) und es hat uns super gefallen. Es wird rund um die Uhr frisch für einen gekocht und das Essen ist super lecker! Es laufen ein paar Hunde und Katzen durchs Haus, jedoch nicht in die Zimmer.

Een bijzonder mooie plek met ontzettend lieve en vriendelijke mensen die ons overal mee hielpen en alles deden om ons een onvergetelijke vakantie te geven. Zo gastvrij. En ook hele lieve dieren ....

Eigenlijk helemaal niets. Sapa's Soul ligt op een hele rustige plek, middenin de rijstvelden en tussen de bergen. Je blijft eigenlijk vooral daar. Als je echt uit wil gaan of van drukte houd is het niet de juidte plek misschien.

Lokalizacja to największy atut tego miejsca. Widok z okna jest cudowny i warty każdych pieniędzy. Właśnie dla takich widoków pojechaliśmy do Wietnamu. Personel bardzo miły i pomocny, dobrze znają angielski i starają się zrobić wszystko aby pobyt był jak najmilszy. Dobre śniadania i ogólnie jedzenie. Cena zupełnie niesamowita

Prysznic działał bardzo słabo. Właściciele próbowali coś z tym zrobić, ale nie udało się.

The location is quite far from Sapa town, and it is very difficult to find a Grab or any transportation from there—especially when travelling solo as a female. Unfortunately, my experience was not pleasant. When I first arrived, a dog suddenly jumped out at the entrance and barked aggressively, which really frightened me. No one came out to assist or check on me, and I didn’t feel safe entering the property. I had to call out for help, and after a while, the owner came out. When I explained that her dog had scared me, she responded rudely, saying, “Everyone here has dogs,” without any apology or concern. This was very disappointing and not the kind of welcome I expected. The listing also does not clearly mention the presence of dogs or that the bathroom is shared between multiple rooms. At night, all the lights were turned off, making it difficult and uncomfortable to walk to the bathroom in the dark. Another major issue was the room itself. At night, there were so many flying insects—both big and small—coming into the room. The ceiling has gaps between the walls, so insects can easily enter. It was very unpleasant and uncomfortable, especially seeing large bugs and cockroaches inside the room. The food quality was also poor. I ordered a beef noodle dish, but the beef was very tough, chewy, and did not seem fresh. Additionally, the kitchen appeared dirty and unhygienic when I saw it. There was a cat on the kitchen table near the food, which raised concerns about cleanliness. I also noticed that some vegetables used in the meals were taken from the garden where dogs roam freely, which did not feel hygienic. Another uncomfortable aspect was how a staff member—an older man—was treated by the owner. I am not sure if he was her partner or relative, but she treated him poorly, which was unpleasant to witness. Regarding the room, I had booked a “mountain view” room, but I was given a room facing a neighbor’s garden instead.

The hostess, Oanh was absolutely lovely! She was warm, welcoming, kind and helped us organise our activities in Sapa. The food was excellent! We appreciated all the little touches like games to play, books to read etc. It was very homely. We loved all the different people we got to meet too. The dogs were also super cute!

I didn't appreciate how the host (can't remember his name) handled the situation when we asked that the guest that was smoking a cigar outside our room, be asked to please move elsewhere. It was very hot and our bedroom windows were open. The guest lay outside our window in a hammock with his cigar just burning and the smoke filled our room. It smelled terrible and we are not smokers. I asked the hostess to please ask the guest to move elsewhere and the host went out to talk to the guest. He didn't realise we were in our room and could hear him, but he was mocking us for asking that the guest not smoke there. I understand that this particular guest is a regular at Sapa's Soul but our request was not unreasonable. I do wish the host dealt with the situation with more kindness and professionalism. A little consideration by all goes a long way.
