The ideal homestay- stunning views, walking distance to the village, delicious food and drinks (the coconut coffee is excellent), relaxed and homely. Little extras made it more comfortable- clothes hangers in the bathroom, a rack for your shoes, a kettle. The cats and dogs are friendly and provide entertainment too!

The construction of the building is typical homestay and rather basic, but it was still comfortable and clean, with local crafts for decorations.

The view is amazing. The free breakfast offered was good with some selection (although you have to pay extra for coffee!).

Mold in the room, uneven stair access, loud music, thin walls. If you like what I equate to 1960 American hippie vibe, you’ll love this place and it’s a fun hangout for a few days! It might be an age thing (I’m older). Mold in the fabrics of the room was a big challenge for me to sleep - I gave it 2 nights to be sure - and despite it being a health concern I had a big issue getting out of my reservation to move somewhere else that would work for me, also having to pay an exit cancellation fee. Of course, I understand this is their livelihood, but moldy rooms can really harm sensitive people and need to be ready for the cases where it doesn’t work for guests. I was offered another room but they’re all set up with mattresses on the floor - the biggest culprit to trapping mold. I also found the stair access dodgy, the music too loud, and the simple walls thin…but the food was good and the views incredible! Just review all the photos and you’ll have an accurate picture - except for photos can’t tell you about the mold.

Esperienza bellissima, la mia camera era davvero particolare! Sono felice di aver scelto una sistemazione qui e non in centro città perché le camminate iniziano subito fuori dalla porta e si è subito immersi in un villaggio tradizionale. La vista mentre si sorseggia un ottimo caffè oppure ci si delizia con un pranzo o una cena (i ragazzi sono ottimi cuochi!) è pazzesca soprattutto quando le nuvole si diradano. Doccia con ottima pressione e acqua calda perfetta. Mi mancano già moltissimo i loro cagnolini Tin e Bon, vederli giocare mi metteva sempre una gioia infinita! Sono tenerissimi! Un posto davvero particolare in ogni singolo dettaglio.

L'unica cosa il materasso...ormai è sfondato e si sentono tutte le molle...

Petit coin de paradis à l'écart de la ville (5km de la ville). Très bien placé pour faire des randonnées. Possibilité de louer des scooters sur place. Les propriétaires sont présents et répondent à tous nos besoins. Ils proposent une large game de restauration midi et soir. On a pu profiter, malgré le temps pluvieux, d’un espace chaleureux et convivial. Les animaux (chats et chien) aiment profiter des caresses!! Notre chambre était spacieuse et bien équipée (ventilateur, sèche cheveux, matelas chauffant). On vous le recommande!!

Expect hospitality at it’s best in the home stay of Huong Mai and her partner. The dogs and cats provide daily cuddles. We got invited to join a family diner to celebrate the New lunar year of the fire horse, tried the home made liquor, dried mushrooms and a selection of delicious meat on the barbecue. The rooms offer incredible views, as soon as the clouds move out. And the walls are full of beautiful and authentic paintings. Any artist will feel instantly at home here. Please consider skipping the fancy and overpriced hotels in Sa Pa and stay a little out of town in this rural area. The villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van are within walking distance. Thank you Mai!
