Everything was Great

Sauna onsite, easy walk to train/town, beautiful space

Sauna was extra which I didn’t realize when I booked.

Location was very good. It was nice and quiet and the town is very pretty. 

Because the shower is actually located within the living area the room was kind of musty and had a peculiar moldy odor .

- Very good location: close to Interlaken and the lakes area. - Large room and comfortable bed. - Nice apartment, had been recently renovated. - Overall clean (With the exception of the Microwave oven, will comment on that later) - Free wifi and quite fast - Free parking for your car

- The microwave was very very dirty - No one told us if we wanted to use the sauna or gave us instructions to use it even though we were charged the sauna tax. - Very few toiletries were provided. Only 1 small shampoo and shower gel was provided for 2 adults and 2 nights stay (very small, like the ones they give in hotels). We had to use the ones we brought from home. - Definitely the worst thing of our stay, by far: the check in process. We were told by the host a few days prior that someone would be waiting for us at 6.30 pm in the apartment to hand us out the keys but, to our surprise, no one came to greet us. We spent a huge amount of time ringing the bell but no one seemed to be there. We received no email, no text message or no phone call by the owner to let us know what was going on. We couldn't reach him on the phone (we didn't have a Swiss SIM Card) and were worried and stressed. Finally, a man we randomly found that was in the area offered his help and we could contact the host via his phone. Still, it was difficult to reach him (he didn't answer until a few tries). After some tries and calls, the host contacted the person who was supposed to open the door for us and she came to give us the keys. Conclusion: after waiting for about 40-45 minutes outside waiting for someone to open the door, without anyone giving any signs of life, no one contacting us over email/phone/text, not being able to reach the host, we finally managed to get into the apartment. The woman excused herself saying she was sick and was sleeping but she didn't really apologise to us. Even though she was sleeping because she was sick, she could have given us the keys and then go back to sleep or she could have told someone else to come open the door for us. We spent over 40 minutes outside wondering if anyone was ever going to come and give us the keys or not.

Appreciate if instructions to the room were given much ahead instead of the day before

The property is near the Spiez Banhof. If you have huge luggages take the Bus 60 and its just one stop at Kapellanstrasse then its a short uphill walk to the property. This is also the same going back to the train station but you need to be checking the bus timings. The owner is a helpful host.
