Kristian Homestay

Kristian and his family are very helpfull. We enjoyed our stay and the interesting discussions with them. We highly recommend.

Nous étions logés dans le bâtiment secondaire (celui de gauche) qui n’est malheureusement pas au goût du jour. La chambre était très humide mais propre. Les sanitaires auraient besoins d’un entretien /nettoyage un peu plus régulier. Le ménage n’a pas été fait durant nos 2 jours sur place.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Kristian hat mir geholfen meine weiteren Reisepläne zu organisieren. Zudem war er auch ein hervorragender Guide bei einem Tagesausflug

Great location, great breakfast. Private rooms are nice with own bathroom.

Ik vond de locatie goed. Op loopafstand van een aantal leuke restaurantjes. Je had een mooi uitzicht op de bergen. Je had onder andere op de eerste verdieping een zitje waar je de hele dag door koffie en thee kon pakken en even kon relaxen.

Badkamer was oke, maar als je gaat douchen wordt ook het toilet nat. Er was veel vocht, dus ook schimmel. Was verder wel oke. Prima kunnen douchen.

The homestay is away from the main road so is very quiet, and has a great view of Mt Inerie from the terrace. The owner, Kristian, is very helpful and can arrange tours (both day tours or 2D1N, spending the night in one of the traditional villages). We found the first tour really good, but the second one less worthwhile. The sheets were clean and I haven't seen any bugs (they do keep the lights on all night in the common areas that helps!)

Unfortunately though the rooms we were given were dreadful to say the least. Small, dark and with a very strong smell: they each had a window (as was pointed out to me when I complained of the lack thereof) but said window opens on a shared (windowless) room (where the laundry is done and where pots of paint are stored). The room was very dirty (though the sheets were clean) and the common areas filthy. It's not unusual that the shared hall has the strongest stink of cigarette smoke from people smoking just outside the door. After 4 days it's still not too clear to us how many people shared the bathroom (at least 4 rooms but then multiple other people seemed to come and go too), and we are not sure how often (if ever) it was cleaned (that is, beyond the cleaning we did before using it). That said, the rooms in the main house might be better (I haven't seen them though) which could explain the less negative reviews. The breakfast is ok, though once we were served a pancake that was incredibly bitter (not sure what was wrong with it) and the noodle soup is one of the supermarket pot noodles (tasty though).

L'accueil de la part du personnel, le délicieux petit déjeuner et la bonne ambiance de l'établissement !

La salle de bain est un peu petite - mais propre.
