Birds Nest Home Stay

I had an amazing stay. The property is beautiful and in a good location, walking distance from main tourist attractions. The best, cleanest (Western standard) room I have never been in during my three months traveling in India! The hosts are very nice and helpful people, they let me check-in earlier than the usual time, as soon as the room was ready, with no extra charge. They also let me stay an extra night, even thought they were fully booked, they gave me another spacious beautiful room in their own place and arranged me a taxi to the airport at 4am, I really appreciated that! There is also a common kitchen and sitting-room you can use at any time. Thank you so much for making my stay in Fort Kochi unforgettable. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend Birds Nest Home.

The curtains were transparent and there is a nearby terrace which will make us feel uncomfortable. Otherwise 👌👌

The rooms are comfortable (beds with good mattresses and pillows, clean sheets). Attached bathroom includes hot shower and toilet. No mosquitos, fan, shelf, power outlet near the bed. Wifi works well also in the room. Clean and quiet. Special about this place are the extra facilities: large communal spaces where you can sit in comfortable chairs or at a western style table; well-equipped kitchen to cook a simple meal or make coffee. There is a fridge and a freezer. Drinking water is available 24/7. The hosts are not only friendly, but also effective with an ability to listen to your concerns! They speak English well.

In Kochi I stayed in four different homestays and one hotel before settling at Birdsnest. By comparison it was the best place by far. Stayed over three weeks.

Ralf is very hospitable & his family too. Speaks perfect English. There is a kitchen in the house, its possible to boil water for your tea. The room is very clean, as well as all house. Wi-fi is good. Hot water in shower. The place is not on the main road, that's good you dont hear vehicles.

Pathetic and rude behaviour of homestay owner with my parents who are 75+ . They were on their first trip to Kerala. I planned their stays mostly in Homestay for familial and comfortable stay but they were very upset with the so many instructions of stay and rude behaviour of owner. He was not respectful towards my parents even they are 75+. He ruined their trip.
