From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Despite our late arrival, she graciously prepared a meal for us, which was a heartwarming gesture that set the tone for our entire stay. The room itself was impeccable, boasting cleanliness and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The peaceful ambiance of the surroundings provided the ideal backdrop for relaxation and quality time with my husband. While the hotel may be tucked away, making it slightly challenging to find, the kindness of strangers truly made all the difference. We were fortunate enough to encounter a helpful elderly individual who assisted us in reaching out to the hotel owner. Without hesitation, the owner promptly arranged for a taxi to ensure our safe arrival. I am immensely grateful for the exceptional hospitality shown to us during our stay. It's evident that the owner's dedication to guest satisfaction shines through in every aspect of this establishment. If you're seeking a perfect retreat for tranquility and heartfelt hospitality, look no further than this hidden gem of a hotel.

The owners and staff are so welcoming and they really make your time there feel special. We were lucky to get their famous hot pot dinner, which was delicious made from natural ingredients. Despite having a language barrier, I was impressed with how warm all our interactions were. They shared lots of tips with us and told us the story and history of the place. The bed was super comfy as well and we were able to rest properly. Thanks again for the great experience! 😊

Not something we ‘didn’t’ like but it’s a hike from the place to Jiufen, a beautiful, scenic one. For us it actually worked better as we got parking for the car and we enjoyed the walk to Jiufen

The staff was very polite, friendly and accommodating, although they didn't speak English at all. The house is surrounded by beautiful nature, which can be especially visible from the restaurant, which is on the top of the house.

I feel a bit cheated, because it says the room has a view, but in reality it had a big completely frosted window, so you can't see anything on the outside. Also, people praised the food a lot, but in my case the included breakfast was very limited and unsatisfying. It seemed to me it was just a few things directly from the convenient store.

Incredibly hospitable people. Very friendly, willing to do whatever needed to ensure our comfort and satisfaction during our stay. Great to chat to as well, though mostly mandarin, not English. Gave us advice on where to visit. Really satisfied with our stay.

Could have been a little easier to find, the place didn't exactly match the pictures - at first I thought it was just a restaurant, I didn't realise we were staying there. It is a small place for people on a budget but it has everything you need.
