I like that it’s near the expressway. The property is very well maintained. If I need anything Terrance definitely takes care of it. He truly made my boyfriend and I feel like we were at home during our stay.

I enjoyed everything. In fact my boyfriend and I extended our stay for another three months.

The house is not appropriate for renting. There is clear evidence that it is an unfinished fixer/upper, like untainted staircase, holes on some walls and the ceiling, broken lamp in my room, no lighting and waste water leak in the basement bathroom, etc. My father in law got dirty as waste water from the ceiling of the bathroom in the basement poured on him while he was in it. When we arrived, we had to asked for toilet paper as it was not available in the bathroom. The floor of the common areas were not cleaned during our two-night stay. There were not enough utensils in the kitchen so guests in four rooms shared one pot, one pan and three or four bowls. Other guests on the same floor with me and on the second floor were noisy, walking, talking, using speaker phones loudly as late as midnight and as early as 4 am. The neighborhood seems to have many vacant and unmaintained houses. If I had known it like that I would not have booked it.

- the host was very welcoming and very concerned abt us being comfortable - comfortable bed and free wifi - I had a nice stay but if you don't like noise, I don't recommend - good for people who fall asleep to noise - not very noisy at night tbh - was very much like sharing a house with roommates - good security, you have to go through three locks to get into your room - I felt safe inside the house despite the area that it's in

- some noise - someone in another room was smoking weed and the host didn't handle it quickly enough (considering it was smoke free) - sharing a bathroom, but it wasn't too terrible. I just questioned how clean the other guests were

I didnt like anything about it, the price is cheap but it doesnt justify the lack of security and the filthiness of the place. I did not feel safe and had to find another place to stay. The property is located in what looks like a low income kind of dangerous neighborhood.

I arrived to the place and there was no one to receive me, rang the bell aproximately 10 times, called the contact cellphone and got no response. As it was getting late I tried opening the outside glass door in order to knock on both the internal doors. To my surprise, the external door was completely unlocked even though it has a code lock. Knocked on both internal doors and got no response. What scared me the most is that I opened the internal door to the apartment and could go in, therefore, anybody could go in at anytime. The host called me moments after i had gone into the apartment and arrived a couple of minutes later, showed me the room i was staying in (which did not have a functioning lock on the door) and the rest of the property which was really filthy, there were potato chip bags halfway thru on the floor and over the common area table, along with more garbage on different places. At this point i decided to look somewhere else to stay, they didnt accept my cancellation request and kept my money. It hurts losing money but I just couldnt stay in a place where I would not feel safe arriving and staying at night.

The hosts are very nice and super accommodating. Like, let us set the AC at 67 accommodating. The property and individual rooms had their own locks and codes to access so it was very secure. The property has lots of windows for natural light, and good quality curtains if you'd rather sleep in. Plus the shared kitchen and bathrooms are remodeled and fully equipped with the things you'll need.

The neighborhood is rated as being one of the more dangerous areas of chicago, but we had no issues of any kind. There are a few boarded up buildings but other than that it's just normal suburb with neighbors here and there.
