Good Karma Bromo Guesthouse

The location and the people were really nice. It's perfectly situated for the Bromo tour. It's very simple and has everything you need. Unfortunately, the beds took a bit of getting used to. But all in all, everything was good.

Emplacement très bien. Propreté à revoir. Mes draps sentaient la moisissure. J’ai demandé à les changer. Franchement pour le prix, je trouve pas ça convenable.

Location and friendly staff. A nice thick comforter for the bed.

No hot water even when advertised. The bathroom doesn't have a window so moths and other insects were coming in the whole time, had to keep the door closed to prevent them from coming into the room. As is every hotel in the town I am sure, the room was SO damp, with 100% RH.

A small guest house with everything you need for a getaway in the Bromo region. The rooms are simple but clean, with hot water in the bathroom to counter the damp cold of the region. The staff are very responsive by message and go out of their way to help you organise your activities. As for dinner, it's delicious and perfect for building up your strength before the night hike. I'd definitely come back!

Cette guest house est idéalement située pour explorer le Bromo. Le guide pour visiter le volcan Bromo était très professionnel et nous a permis de découvrir ce lieu emblématique loin des foules de touristes, ce qui a rendu l'expérience encore plus mémorable. Les chambres sont simples, propres et équipées avec de l'eau chaude pour un confort après une journée dans le climat frais et humide. Le petit déjeuner sur place est parfait pour se détendre au soleil après une matinée d'exploration.

Has a beautiful view IF you get a room on the veranda. If you get a room inside you get no windows. Good price for being in Bromo, especially if you book extra days in person in cash.

Staff was creepy and VERY LAZY There was this strong smell of urine in the main area, I checked and it came from an abandoned guest room. The staff just left the door open without cleaning it for days. I had to close the door a few times just to save myself from smelling it in my own room. I mentioned it to the staff and they didn't seem to care. There was an absence of care about the cleanliness of everything in that hotel. Moldy coffee cups laying around public areas. There's a kitchen, but the staff leaves such a mess that it's basically unusable. I don't think our sheets were cleaned upon moving rooms. Got woken up twice at 3:30am by a guide LOUDLY giving a pep talk in the middle of the hotel. So loud because the hotel echos and the doors are thin. I told them to be quiet the 2nd time and they moved outside, so maybe they will continue to do the pep talks outside. Only one bed was comfortable (we moved rooms a lot). I got the impression that only one bed in the entire hotel was comfortable. Hot water? No.

Es gibt warmes Wasser und die Lage der Unterkunft ist gut.

Der Fakt das sich die Unterkunft auf 2300 Metern über Meeresspiegel befindet sollte das Personal nicht daran hindern die Unterkunft sauber zu halten. Ich dachte die anderen Bewertungen übertreiben, jedoch sind 16€ für eine Nacht mindestens 12€ zu viel. Dies war mit Abstand die schlechteste Unterkunft in 300 Tagen Reise und wir haben schon auf 3300 Meter in China geschlafen und in Orten in Laos wo es nichtmal eine Straße hin gab. Das Badezimmer ist schlicht dreckig, im Zimmer hängen überall Spinnweben und im Eingangsbereich lag eine tote Ratte. Die Betten sind schimmelig und der Vorhang war nicht zu gebrauchen, da er halb von der Wand fiel. Dieser Ort ist nur dafür da um schnelles Geld zu verdienen und bitte nicht mit der Ausrede kommen, dass dies Standard in der Ortschaft ist. Wir haben uns danach andere Zimmer angesehen, die weit aus besser waren und alle hatten einen besseren Standard (Feni Homestay). Nach der Buchung wird man mit einem Text voller falscher Informationen konfrontiert. Das Taxi von Probbolingo nach Bromo wird einem zum doppelten Preis angeboten, als es am Bahnhof kostet. Zahlen sie nicht mehr als 300k pro Fahrzeug. Auch Jeeps und Essen muss man nicht vorbuchen, es gibt genügend, weitaus günstigere Angebote im Ort. Diese Nachricht ist nur dafür da Panik zu schüren und Geld zu machen. Ich hoffe wir können genügend Menschen davor warnen, hier zu buchen. Sie sollten sich schämen, für das was sie veranstalten.
