The room was nice, clean and hygienic and the quality of food was also very good and tasty.

Overall, it was a good experience. The only thing that was inconvenient was the local transportation which was time consuming as you have to wait for the jeeps to be full of passengers.

Beautiful location - perched up from the nice small road. You get very nice mountain & valley views. Rooms are spread out on this plateau & the room interiors are done in good taste. They have maintained nice flowers, walnut & fruit trees on their premises which adds to the charm.

Check in experience was not great. We reached Kasar Devi area quite late (around 10.30) - we hadn't taken our dinner yet. Unfortunately most of the eateries in / around Almora close by 9 pm or so. We found an open one about 5 minutes before the hotel - so we decided to eat there before proceeding. We did so. We kept on getting calls from the hotel enquiring about our time of arrival - we told that we will reach hotel around 11.15 after finishing our dinner. Once we reached the hotel, we couldn't find their reception - we called the hotel's number quite a few times but there was no reply. Luckily one the guests who was there helped us by bringing the hotel person. Though polite, he was drunk - but he took us to our rooms quickly. Asked for our IDs & then asked for payment but asked for an entirely different amount - when i showed him a different amount in the booking confirmation mail - he said yes that's the amount. We paid the correct amount - we didn't face any further problems. He greeted us warmly the next morning.
