Daban Homestay Ella

Perfect place to stay in Ella, lovely room, brilliant views and friendly staff.

Everything was very nice, we have already been here and the view and staff are completely kind and very helpful they always try to listen you, just be careful, they are building higher floors newly, so sometimes you will be disturbed by some construction work, but it is a price to pay for the fact that soon there will be more rooms with hot water and an absolutely amazing view and perfect breakfast!

Occasional noise around from constant building and rebuilding around, the concurrence doesn't sleep and tries to expand but the place is amazing and peaceful! Unfortunately, the mobile internet was failing and sometimes even home WiFi was not enough for so many users at same time.

Ontbijt wat echt heerlijk

Badkamer en wc zitten apart van de kamer. Daardoor moet je ‘s nachts toch de kamer uit en de gang op. Dat was vooraf niet bekend. Daarnaast is het uitzicht (van onze kamer) totaal niet zoals op de foto’s. Sterker nog. Er was letterlijk geen uitzicht.

A peaceful retreat near Ella with stunning views and exceptional hospitality. Our room was spacious, with a large private bathroom and a beautiful balcony overlooking the hills — the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was stable and reliable, ideal for staying connected or light work. There are even some friendly monkeys roaming the area nearby. Breakfasts were wonderful, and we also enjoyed excellent traditional meals from Suresh’s vegetarian restaurant in the same building, who took great care of us throughout our stay. Meals are served on a lovely terrace with fantastic daytime views, making the experience even more enjoyable. The owners were incredibly kind and attentive — after check-out, they warmly let us stay in the common area and even offered us a snack while we waited for our train, which made us feel truly at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm, scenic stay near Ella with great food and heartfelt hospitality.

La struttura è un po' scomoda da raggiungere ma una volta in camera si apre un panorama magnifico davanti agli occhi! Alzarsi dal letto e avere davanti l'alba, il verde e la natura, non ha prezzo! Lo chef ci ha preparato delle ottime colazioni e ci ha chiesto se volevamo fare lezione di cucina :) ci ha anche accompagnate in centro col tuk tuk! Grazie!

La gentillesse et serviabilité des hôtes . Ils ont un scooter qu’on peut louer , un tuktuk pour les trajets vers la gare ou le bus , on peut manger sur place , le petit déjeuner et toute la carte qu’ils proposent sont excellents. Suresh cuisine très bien ! Il peut donner des cours de cuisine aussi avec sa femme ! Son fils fait de beaux tours de magie avec ses cartes . Et Pappi est un bon chien ! Au cœur de cette famille pendant quelques jours c’était formidable. Ils peuvent aussi vous conseiller sur les randonnées !

Le seul bémol c’est l’isolation du bruit et lumière dans la chambre. Ça peut gêner certaines personnes. La porte d’entrée de la chambre possède des vitres opaques . Donc tard le soir si d’autres guest arrivent vous pouvez voir la lumière de la pièce principale et les entendre. La fenêtre qui donne sur la terrasse n’a pas de double vitrage, donc on entend tous les oiseaux le matin tôt et le soleil se lève en face , même si les rideaux sont opaques , ils laissent tout de même rentrer la lumière. La lumière ne m’a pas dérangé , mais le bruit d’un oiseau en particulier oui c’est un détail!
