Daban Homestay Ella

Wir hatten einen ganz tollen Aufenthalt in Daban Homestay! Die Gastgeber waren super nett und hilfsbereit und haben uns zu jeder Zeit ein Tuk Tuk gerufen. Das Frühstück war das beste, was wir bisher in Sri Lanka hatten und die Aussicht ist einfach nur toll! Die paar Regenstunden am Tag haben uns gar nicht gestört da wir uns in der Unterkunft so wohl gefühlt haben und die Zeit für ein Nickerchen nutzen konnten.

Amazing views from the room. The sunrise was spectacular (better than my morning hike to Ella rock). Host is lovely and helped me with getting some laundry done. Bathroom is big, very clean and with hot water. There’s a mosquito net for the bed and a drying rack. I slept super well and it’s dead quiet. There’s also a tv but no kettle. Host will make tea if you like. It’s a bit out of town - roughly 20 minutes uphill but I loved that. I had dinner and breakfast at cafe freedom just a few meters up the road, and once walked to bees honey restaurant which was about 15 min. I also walked directly from there to Ella Rock for sunrise.

It’s a budget home stay but everything you need! No frills in the room- simple but has all you need. The view is stunning, with a large outdoor balcony. The host is really lovely. He’s super attentive and sweet. The breakfast is delicious and he the host puts a lot of effort in to it. It’s not fancy - but it is indeed lovely. We were also provided with a laundry service for 10€.

Lovely host and family who couldn’t do enough for you, cups of tea in the evening and all. Fabulous hidden Homestay up in the hills. Quick laundry, great breakfast and a fantastic view! The upstairs of the Homestay is under construction for further expansion but the works don’t start until late morning and finish early in the evening so it didn’t affect us at all. However if you wanted to chill for a whole day it may.

Fantastisk udsigt ud over bjergene. Man kan gå til byen eller tage en Tuk tuk for under 3 dollars.Dejligt sted sødt personale. Vaske service til meget rimelig pris. Stor lækker morgenmad

The view was spectacular! The host is so kind and makes a very warm welcome! We are so grateful to have stayed here. It’s a perfect place to stay for some tranquility away from the bustle of Ella centre. The room is very clean, simple, stylish with a big comfortable bed. Watching the sunrise from the balcony was magical! There is breakfast available but also a few cafes/restaurants to enjoy a few minutes walk away. We tried Moonlight and Cafe Freedom - both were delicious! Thank you for a great stay!
