Great room woth a view of the lake. Simone was very helpful. Unfortunately there was a very unfriendly couole there who would not talk to us and argued a lot with each other. We were the only people there so it made us feel anxious and unsafe as a mother and daughter travelling alone. We only stayed 1 night and left the second night. I paid for 6 nights and the owner would not refund even one night even though we told him straight away it was a last minute booking. The kitchen was also quite dirty with mouse droppings in the drawers and splashes of substances over the walls which i cleaned. Also filthy around and under the fridge and microwave. I would not stay somewhere without staff on premises again.

Location was great for us, about 15mins walk away from Eyre Square and the city centre. The room was cosy and clean with our own en-suite and the bed very comfy.

If you’re in a front facing room, there is a little bit of noise from the traffic on the road outside but it’s not too bad. There was also a bit of noise from other people staying in the property, the doors will bang quite loudly if you’re not careful.

The room we stayed, #4, is the only one that faces the back so we did not experience the noise issues other guests in the front rooms described. The location is 15-20 min walk to Eyre Sq depending on your pace along a road by lovely Lough Atalia. There was access to a shared kitchen downstairs. This basic accommodation served its purpose for our 2 night visit to Galway. If you are picking up/dropping off a car from Europcar, their office is just a 15 min walk away.

We had some issues opening the front door and wished we had received the instructions/ lockbox code before check in since we did not know Michael would not be there. Another guest had to let us in after ringing the doorbell multiple times. The bathroom retains a lot of humidity and the extractor needs to be cleaned. As a health accessibility note I would not recommend to someone who is sensitive to mold allergies as it is visible/smell.
