Casa tra Cielo e Mare

The view from the terrace is breathtaking. Osvaldo is an amazing host and made our stay an amazing experience. I highly recommend having dinner there and enjoy some great Eolian food and enjoy the beautiful view. There are also some nice beaches around and other stuff to see. Osvaldo also has very useful recommendations. Thanks again for a beautiful stay!

The guest was very nice

(1) The location is so much uncomfortable- you can’t go anywhere without a car. (2) Room was clearly not duly reflected in the photos. (3) Breakfast was poor and few options.

Osvaldo and Simona are lovely and took good care of us. Osvaldo picked us up when we arrived on the island so we didn‘t have to walk up the steep street with our luggage. The view from up there is beautiful and we could enjoy it from the hotpot! We can recommend the Lipari Island Tour with Osvaldo, he showed us all around the island and has a lot of interesting stories to tell! Thanks fot beeing such good hosts, we loved it in your home between sky and sea!

We booked bungalow with jacuzzi. However, bungalow was not really private: there is a storage room at the back and B&B worker needed to pass through our terrace to reach it. Jacuzzi is not on the bungalow territory, it is between main building where every guest can see you and garbage bins / home appliances area (the photo of jacuzzi done from our bungalow). The bubble function never worked, though we reported it the very first day. Hosts said they fixed it, but no. So, it was just a warm tub. Not worth the money.

We stayed 3 nights at Osvaldo after visiting Salina. Il buongiorno si vede dal mattino we say in Italy. You judge the day by the way it started. In the case of Casa Cielo e Mare, it was totally the case! Before arriving to Lipari, Osvaldo texted us he would have come for us to pick us up with the car and get us to the place. Once up on the hill, we were welcomed by a literally stunning view, Rio de Janeiro style, overlooking both Marina Lunga and Marina Corta, the Castle, Monte Rosa and Monte Gallina… absolutely breathtaking! While looking after the administrative tasks (registering our IDs), he gave us a complete hands on guide on what to do on the island and which means of transportation to choose (mainly scooter or car), places that are worth a visit and several logistic tips… many! Food: continental breakfast with various options to choose from. Worth a mention the eggs Simona prepares… d-e-l-i-c-i-u-o-s. Accomodation: clean and simple. Highlights: to go back to the B&B up on the steep hill, most guests will prefer either to call Osvaldo, who will come for you for a symbolic price, or to rent a car. Do not attempt to the steep hill on a scooter if you are not an expert driver! Please, be serious about it, walk instead, it’ll be good for you especially if you are out of shape :) Tigro and Pierino, the two cats of the house, are the kings of the place. We were picked up by our host Osvaldo from Lipari port. After that, he remained extremely friendly, helpful, and passionate about Lipari. He gave very useful tips and tricks about what to do on Lipari and the surrounding islands. The view from the terrace was splendid, especially during sunrise. The breakfast was superfluous. Without a doubt, Osvaldo and Simona gave us the best stay possible during our holidays. We'd like to express our thankfulness once more for the pleasant time.

Fantastic hosts, very friendly and informative on what to see and do around the island. Pick up and drop off are free, to and from the port at the beginning and end of the stay. The facilities offer a warm SPA/Jacuzzi pool, perfect to relax at the end of your day. The view was stunning, in a lovely location but...

...it requires either an downhill/uphill hike or a lift from the host (small extra charge each way). They are very accommodating with pick up and drop off, but something to consider.
