Canas Guest House in Lisbon (AL)

The breakfast was filling and different every day, I really enjoyed the quality of the products, especially the exotic local fruit offered. The host really takes care for you, even if a bit excessively at times.

There was some language barrier as the host speaks very little English. Also, as an introvert, I was a little stressed to be followed around and watched by the host all the time I was outside of my room. So for those caring for their personal space, be aware that you won't be able to cook or eat alone. There's also no key given to the property - you have to count on the host to be there when you return and open the door for you.

I really enjoyed the surprise breakfast and sharing that time with Ana. I learned a lot about life in Portugal that I would have missed without staying here. Thank you, Ana, for that. That is not an experience anyone will have in a hotel.

Very clean Guest House with an excellent security system and automatic locks. You can enter the house any time just with a pin number at the main entrance. Very kind and polite the Guest House owner and very committed and professional. She prepared an excellent breakfast and kept the house always clean.

I had a wonderful stay! Ana is a fantastic host—friendly, accommodating, and very responsive. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. She even provided complimentary treats in the morning, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

Everything was great. One minor suggestion—not really a complaint—is to perhaps include a bit more detail about the exact location, especially since the area has several buildings. It was perfect for me as I was attending a conference nearby at the university. Just as a note, it's about a 15-minute drive from places like Castillo San Jorge, so something to keep in mind depending on your plans. Highly recommended overall!
