The house and rooms are clean and comfortable for a short stay.

All the pillows are tall and hard. It will be great if the host can prepare other pillow type. Hair dryer does not work.

The place is not worth even going to.. a dirthole. There was nothing to be liked about this place except the location. However the headline is that it is near Jonker walk- but it is actually far from Jonker street.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and distress regarding the homestay experience I recently booked through Booking.com at the Santorini Homestay in Malacca. Stayed there on 20th April night.. My family and I endured an utterly deplorable ordeal during our stay. In fact with my years of travel experience, I should have checked the reviews before booking there. The lack of any recent review should have been a red flag for me. And I had to suffer with my family for this negligence from my side. From the moment of booking until our arrival, there was a stark absence of communication or acknowledgment from the homeowner. Upon reaching the property, we were greeted by a scene of neglect and decay. The so called Santorini Homestay resembled an abandoned site, with overgrowing vegetation on the property and a makeshift key collection area that not only lacked basic hygiene but also posed a significant health risk to guests. The key collection area was a dark hole on the wall with insects and dirt piled (Photos attached). As we ventured inside, the stench of neglect and decay permeated every corner of the property, leaving us nauseated and disheartened. The lack of basic amenities, including a clean and functional kitchen, or even a washing machine, further compounded our dismay, with broken appliances, dead insects, and unsanitary conditions prevalent throughout the property (Photos attached). While contacting the owner, he claimed that a functioning kitchen and even a stove or pot for making tea were not necessary as guests were coming to Malacca for food. In that case, why is this place advertised as a homestay? You could have advertised it as a dormitory. The area behind kitchen was used as dirt storage area. ( photos attached) Smelly and dangerous. Bathrooms were not kept in sanitary condition with rusted fittings. One AC was not working properly. By just pasting some wall papers of Italian coast won't make this a homestay where families could...
