Guru Ratna

We loved Guru Ratna and what made it extra special was that it’s totally family run and everyone so happy and eager to please. A nice little menu and we enjoyed what we tried. Very central and easy to get around Munduk. Great tours available. Lovely garden areas. We took a class making offerings. It was a lot of fun, really cheap to do and run by the wife of one of the sons. Just great and ridiculously cheap accommodation 😊

The room , so old ... look like a jail need to invest a bit boss ! the dog barking all night , rooster 🐓 too ... hard to get a bit a silence ...

It was perfect for the price

Location. For breakfast, there are tea and coffee in two large containers, and you pour it yourself. As for the portion size of breakfast, it's about the same as the rest of Bali: not too much.

The house is old, with poor sound insulation, and there are ants and spiders in the room. There is only one power outlet near the sink in the entire room. Moreover, it's located by the roadside, so the noise from passing motorcycles is very loud, and the voices of neighboring guests or people outside are also quite noisy.

Really friendly staff. So happy to help with any questions. Great location and great food!

The room in itself is fine, here and there some wear and tear and weather influences. I did put my own mosquito net up, as theirs had some holes in it. The room has holes high up in the wall and other openings to outside so anything and everything can come in. Ofcourse there are ants, geckos, spiders etc. But the owner is happy to assist to take a spider away. And they repaired the light above the sink right away. Super service. Breakfast is fine for this price. The view amazing. There is a nice hike up the road to some waterfalls that are very beautiful. Take about 2 to 4 hours depending on fitness for this hike. Ask the owner for a map. There is an eco warung just 700 meters up the road with amazing food and good view. Loved my stay here!

The road is a bit noisie but late at night there is almost no traffic anymore. I slept fine. Did not need the earplugs that were provided. The toilet leaked a bit on the floor. I just stepped around it. And the sealing of the shower en toilet could use a fresh paint with all the moist and damp. But nothing big.

I was grateful after I was able to upgrade my room to a room out the back with a lovely view. Very helpful and friendly staff.
