I've been lucky enough to stay in some great interesting places with stellar hosts, but Peter and his home was simply the best I've experienced. The room itself while fairly simple was very comfortable, extremely clean and well organized. The back garden was a wonderful , peaceful spot to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning or a pint after a day of exploring West Belfast. The location of Peter's home simply could not be better- a short walk to Milltown Cemetery and Falls Park, a slightly longer walk to explore further down the Falls Road and easily acessible public transportation to get to the many interesting things Belfast has to offer in the city center, the Botanic Gardens and Titanic Slipways. There was a little row of shops at the bottom of Peter's road for a burrito, a kebab, a newspaper, a beer or whatever I needed. Even a post office and an ATM. Lovely pubs within easy walking distance,. But most importantly, the host is just above and beyond in every way. He is an absolute wealth of information on his Falls Road community. He is really more like a an extremely good docent at the living history museum of West Belfast. He was very kind to provide coffee and a light breakfast and there were some other great guests to chat with over breakfast. If you want a comfortable, reasonably priced place to explore Belfast from with a host to give you a friendly educational experience, then stay with this kind, wise, and generous host. You won't regret it!

Can't think of anything.

Absolutely lovely. Lovely home, lovely host, lovely room, lovely breakfast. We had a great stay here, the room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. Peter (the owner) was extremely accommodating and attentive. He took time to show my son some of the landmarks from the attic room windows. Most people tend to ignore my son due to his quirks with his autism, yet Peter never let it bother him. Full of local knowledge and helped us with where to visit in a rainy Sunday morning before our allocated time for the Titanic museum. He even helped us with booking a taxi for us so we didn’t have to walk in the rain to the bus stop. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with a large option of cereal and spreads for the toasted muffins and soda bread. Will absolutely be coming back.

There is literally nothing to not like.

Even with our tight schedule, our single-night stay at Peter’s home became the most memorable part of our trip. Long before we arrived, Peter reached out multiple times, genuinely caring about our journey and meticulously preparing our room. When we finally pulled up at 7 PM, there he was—standing at the doorstep with a warm, expectant smile, waiting to welcome us into his home. At 71 years young, as he calls himself,, Peter manages this beautiful property entirely single-handedly. Meeting him feels like reconnecting with a beloved grandfather. He gave us a gentle tour, but what truly stole our hearts was his spirit. He is an absolute jewel of a human being—a true gentleman, down-to-earth, and endlessly kind. We spent precious time talking with him, and his warmth was so genuine that my 11-year-old child instantly became fond of him. We are currently on our way to the Giant’s Causeway, but I simply could not wait to write this. Peter doesn't just offer a place to sleep; he opens his heart and treats you like family. If you are ever in Belfast, do yourself a huge favour and stay with him. You will arrive as a guest, but you will undoubtedly leave feeling like family.
