Very classy hotel in very good location. It is on the touristic part of city and you can walk everywhere inside of old town. The owner let us for early check-in. There is a free water fountain inside of the hotel which you can fill your bottle. Everywhere inside the hotel had really cool smell.

The ocean is just a couple of minutes by walk. Restaurants, breakfast places and shops everywhere. The host was very supportive and flexible. The place was clean and tidy. We rented a car, and there were lot of underground garages close so we just have to walk 5-7 minutes to get to our car. I highly recommend.

We had an amazing 2-night stay at Edifício Charles 204 in the heart of downtown Funchal, Madeira, and we can't recommend it enough! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from great restaurants, the cruise port, bus stations, the main church, the market, and so much more. Everything you need is right at your doorstep. The room was spotless and comfortable, with a modern bathroom, TV, and a cozy vibe that made me feel right at home. Check-in and check-out were super easy with convenient access codes for both the building and the room—no keys or hassle. For the price, it’s an incredible value and truly exceeded my expectations. Whether you're visiting for a quick getaway or a longer stay, Edifício Charles 204 is the perfect base in Funchal. 10/10 – would absolutely stay again!

What a beautiful place! It is very well kept or perhaps newly renovated. White marble and stylish Christmas decorations in the hallways. It is clear that they try their best to make it look neat. It appears very clean as well. I appreciated the fridge, the porcelain for 2, the black out curtains, the small balcony, and the lift. A relatively big bathroom with good water pressure in the shower, plenty of hot water, and well-functioning drains. And very clean! Nice staff, too. Good location almost next to the Sé Cathedral.

It is really nitpicking... the wind was very strong when we visited, so we noticed that the door to the balcony was not 100 % isolated. Fortunately, the curtains blocked the draught.
