the house has all the facilities and is nice and clean the house is nicely decorated and has a huge collection of interesting items to look at the house has a nice indoor garden even though at summer it's very hot the owner who lives there with his wife was very friendly very good location - many places in walking distance

first, i thought I was renting the whole house so i was naturally surprised and annoyed to find out it was just a room in a house where the owner and his wife lives. the owner said such misunderstandings were rare but I find it hard to believe because it's easy to get confused when the listing is 'Sylvias Antique House' as opposed to 'a room in Sylvias Antique House' which is the standard wording for listings which just offer a room in a private residence. also i think the fact the owner and his wife live in the property should be clearly stated. more impotently , it turns out the house is under constant surveillance, which I only found out by chance when one day when the owner and his wife were out of town I received a surprising phone-call from the owner asking why did I leave the door to the garden open and when I inquired how does he know this is the case (because I was out of the house and didn't remember leaving it open) I found out to my horror that the apartment was under surveillance, which the owner seemed to consider to be nothing out of the ordinary, but I considered to be very creepy and a gross breach of privacy (especially since I was alone at the house for the day and therefor may have walked from my room to the shower in a state I would obviously not had if I knew the place was under surveillance).

Very friendly host and a beautiful place, including shared kitchen and a fantastic garden in the center of Nicosia.

Great location, close to the city centre.

Very friendly owner, super cosy house, location right in the old city and just next to the UN buffer zone.

Bed in the double room was too small for two tall/big people.

Unreliable hostel, I don’t advise them

They capture your money , of u pay and then you don’t want to stay there they receive all the money you paid

The house is located close to the main attractions of the city, and the whole neighbourhood was absolutely safe and quiet. The room was perfect for 2 people, and the host was very welcoming and hospitable.

There was nothing that I didn't like, maybe a little more space would have been great where we could have put our bags and clothes.
