Kawi Homestay Sidemen

The homestay is located in a nice area with some views an several restaurants walking distance. Rooms are big and clean, breakfast was tasty and the family who runs the business are really nice and will help you to rent scooters or book transfers, but have in consideration that grab/gojek doesn't work there so the transfers are more expensive than usual.

There are no windows in the rooms, so if you want some light inside you need to leave the doors open and obviously that doesn't give you to much privacy. Also even though the doors/wall are beautiful woodcraft balinese designed, that means that are plenty of holes and the level of noise (because of rain or the temple that plays music everyday) was really loud, not to mention the amount of geckos/insects, etc that we saw coming inside. Obviously if you have earplugs and don't mind about the fauna you will be okay, but it's something to have in consideration. And about the toilet at least in our room they used a product to clean it (I guess) that smelled strongly bad, so I would recommend to change it.

The room was very clean and smell so good ! The staff was very nice too.

Maybe just the noise of the rooster that was in front of the hostel.

The balcony was very nice with great view. The room was spacious and clean. There was a delicious breakfast with pancakes, omelets, fruits and hot drinks.

We could hear the noise of the road because the door was a beautiful wooden door but not isolated at all. It was difficult to close the door with the locker. There was a large desk but there is no electric plug nearby. A little bit far from the restaurants (10 minutes walking minimum).

Very nice room with balcony, breakfast was delicious, nice staff.

Really confortable room with nice furniture, with view on the hills and a common balcony where you could see Mt Agung (by leaning a bit).

Very noisy, it's on the main street, the doors are thin so you hear everything from motorbikes to animals. Not very intimate cause the floor is common and everyone sees inside the room, so you have to close the curtains all the time.

Really lovely little place. Only three rooms I believe. The room felt so new and nice decor in the room! The huge double bed felt very luxurious! :) Nice breakfast and pleasant owners.

No air con but fan is OK and we booked knowing this! And only slight issue was the bathroom was very smelly but it's common in this part of the world.
