Gatsby Hotel Hostel

The bedroom was genuinely lovely – really comfortable with great pillows (nice touch having both memory foam and soft), a good duvet, and a well-finished bathroom. The TV worked well and overall the amenities were great. The pool area looked nice and the location was convenient for getting around Uluwatu.

A few things let it down. The host wasn’t very helpful when it came to organising a motorbike. The pool, although nice visually, was slightly dirty – a net nearby would make a big difference. WiFi was quite slow. There were no drinks, snacks or even a small fridge option to buy from, which felt like a missed opportunity. Housekeeping only comes every two days, which doesn’t really feel like proper hotel service. The biggest downside was the lack of flexibility – we couldn’t store luggage securely (it was left outside in an open area), and we weren’t allowed to pay to use a shower before our flight, even though they have dorm facilities. That was disappointing and inconvenient.

Great location, excellent location actually, very clean rooms, and a wonderful, friendly staff.

Staff, pool, laundry 2min away, walking distance to amazing restaurants.

No markets close by to buy fruit.

We were here during Nyepi and had access to the kitchen which was very useful. The pool is nice and pretty big, the rooms spacious, really good air con and internet. It’s in a good location with some restaurants nearby, handy that you can hire a motorbike from here to explore the area more.

Be better if there were a few more sunbeds as the sun is on the pool pretty much all day so lots of people wanting to sit out there.

Good value for the money.

I really enjoyed my stay at Gatsby Hotel. The location of the property was very convenient for me to be close to all the shops and amenities. The staff went above and beyond to cater to my needs. I stayed here for 4 weeks while I was completing my YTT and it was a very comfortable stay.

Great pool area and really nice room! Tv also had Netflix which was good! I enjoyed my stay and was a great value for the price!
