The Snug at the Ski Lodge, Aviemore

Great location, cosy room with a comfortable bed and helpful hosts

Shower pressure's a bit low, could be a bit of an issue if you have long hair

The room was warm, bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The place was very clean and breakfast was a bonus. It was a pleasant 20 min walk to Aviemore.

Good for solo travellers, ok for a couple. Breakfast is put out, instant oats and stuff, fine to set you up before going out to get something a bit more substantial. Location a bit out of town, but there is a shop and pizzaria nearby - again, fine for overnighters. Can be slightly tricky to find - the house, although addressed as 1 Paterson Drive, fronts onto the main road (though The Snug itself is at the back) - I missed it at first and wandered around a bit until I found it! It's actually first on the left as you turn onto Paterson Drive.

It is a very comfortable conversion of a double garage with high end ensuite bathroom. Good food tray with a fridge and plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast was perfectly adequate for the price. The bed was comfy too. The location was ideal for Aviemore parkrun. Also quiet

Some might say it is a bit out on the edge of Aviemore, though it is close to a bus route. Also a microwave oven would be a good addition.
